Who's better and why?

Statistically speaking, Chris Paul won't hit his prime for 5 more years.

Something to think about.

It's hard to imagine areas in his game that he can really improve on. He can improve his man to man defense and he's rebounded better in past years, I guess? His jumper is already good, and I guess it could get better, but I really can't imagine his prime being wildly better than this.

Paul really needs work on his 3 ball.

Yeah, he's already a pretty good three point shooter, albeit not a great one. However, if he can get his 3P% to the high 30s or low 40s (within the realm of possibility given his improved shooting each year and his work ethic), he'd be virtually impossible to guard.

I don't think he's really guardable now except he does have bad games against Dwill.

Something a lot of people forget is th at Kidd didn't really develop a jumpshot until very very late in his career. I'd say, scoring-wise, Paul is already a mile ahead of him; even if you compared Paul right now to Kidd's prime. Defensively, Kidd used to be able to guard the 2 because of his size. But Paul isn't a slouch either at his size...he's able to force a tremendous number of turnovers every game that don't always count as steals on his stat sheet. I think yesterday's game also summed up Paul's efficiency, 12 assists to 1 turnover. I think he has the edge in that category as well.

Some of you are forgetting Kidd was a back to back 2nd place finish in the MVP voting, and got to back to back Finals appearances, with essentially a similiar or worse cast.

If Paul keeps this up a few more years, it's Paul. But stopping sniffin his undies so bad damn, it's his 3rd friggin year.

I think it's amazing Chris Paul and LeBron James are only 6 months apart age wise. The future is bright my friend. These guys are incredible. I love Chris Pauls game so much.

kidd but the way paul is going he can probably end up with the better career.

It won't take much time for Paul to surpass Kidd on the all time list.

Haha. It was just an example dude. Bring this thread up in a few years, I will bet money that Paul ends his career with a higher assist to turnover ratio.
