Based off of their performances last season only:
1a)Vince Carter
1b) Dwayne Wade
3) Joe Johnson
4) JRich
5) Michael Redd

Not so close after that IMO.

If its for this year, Wade is ranked waaaaaaaaaaaay too high.

Carter getting good votes for name recognition, not how good he is now
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

Wade still averaged 24.6 points on 46.9% shooting and 6.9 assists. In terms of numbers, no one else mentioned can boast that.

Gave the slight lead to Carter mainly because Wade has a career high in turnovers this season.

1) Vince Carter
2) Dwyane Wade
3) Joe Johnson
4) Andre Iguodala
5) Ray Allen
6) Michael Redd
7) Jason Richardson
8 ) Richard Hamilton
9) Ben Gordon
10) Mike Dunleavy

Carter put up 21.3/5,1/6.0 on 45.6/35.9/81.6. Statistically there seasons aren't as close as those stats indicate. He had a much better A:TO ratio than Wade, and he scored the ball more efficiently (TS + EFG were higher). Not only that but he completely thrashed Wade across the board as far as win shares, ORTG, and pretty much every other "advanced stat" is concerned (The exception being DRTG). He had a much lower usage rate, lower TO%, and of course he maintained a higher RB rate. Carter also held one of the highest +/- in the league along with a better Roland rating.

He also stayed on the court despite his injuries and still played at a high level (Wade sat 25+ games).

If you look at this season, Carter has the clear advantage despite the fact he was also playing injured.

People like you who think Carter has fallen off will be shocked next season. He was playing on one leg the entire season, and he was still one of the best swingmen in the league. The only reason his PPG was down was because he was taking a career low in FG attempts.

Dear Lord, his advantage was the fact that he played on a better team. Look at what Wade's done compared to Carter every other year aside from his rookie year.

This year, Wade's most consistent teammate was Ricky freaking Davis! If that doesn't tell you how bad it was, coupled with recovery from surgery, then I don't know what to tell you.

Wade's the better player. You know it, I know it, everyone here knows it...

Carter is very underrated now, he had a great 2nd half.

If its in terms of how they played this season, etopn23 made a great argument for Vince 1, and Wade 2. But if it is about what SG in the East you would want to have next season, youd be lying to yourself if you have Wade not ranked at 1.

All 5 of those guys were on losing teams.

No one is even close to these 5 losers?

Keith Bogans was a winner, maybe he should be top 5? Basketball is a team game, its not tennis.

I think Redd is a legit star in this league that has a bad rap due to this years team. He is not a franchise player but still very good. J. Johnson is in my opinion a border line all star, again not a franchise player buy a terrific piece.

JJ had a poor reg season IMO. Nothing to boast about out of the East this season @ SG.

That poor regular season was still better than guys like Rip Hamilton and Ray Allen. What a joke some of the names he's under on the list at the top of this page

And not too many SGs are going to put up all world numbers when they share a backcourt for half the season with Tyron Lue.

It was so easy to double and triple team Joe it's not even funny
