Lebron James or Joe Johnson?

considering both players and coaches.

i don't think you have seen the 2008 version of Mike Bibby.

you are also forgetting Anderson Varejao and Joe Smith

I would say Lebron. He has more heady vets that are experienced. Raw talent wise it's not even close, JJ has way more.

Cleveland has steaming garbage on that team, and the entire REASON this comparison can be made is that LeBron James makes half of those guys looks useful. If you switch Johnson for James on Cleveland, that team doesn't make the playoffs.

I can't understand how Cleveland and Denver build around their young stars. Instead of building a young team that will grow together and dominate for years in the long run, they sorround them with vets and older players. Lebron has it alot worse because of the lack of talent, but both teams make me scratch my head.

goes to show how good Lebron is. it's easier to guard Lebron when his team is jumpshooters. If Lebron had finishers like the Hawks, things were be different.

Lebron has the better players. His players know their roles and play hard on defense.

If there was a dispersal draft of the two teams, Atlanta has four of five guys go top 5 (Horford, Smith, Williams, Bibby) and only 1 cav (Big Z)

I believe some of you are overvaluing Bibby and Marvin Williams and undervaluing Delonte West and Wally. West at this point in his career is a better player than Bibby and certainly a better fit for his team than Bibby. West's a better shooter, scorer, and defender right now than Bibby while Bibby is probably the better distributor. Marvin Williams has all the talent in the world but his head isn't in his game. He should be putting up 18-20 points and 7-8 rebounds, but he doesn't. In terms of giving Lebron and Cleveland just what they need to win, Wally does that. He isn't that All-Star he once was, but he's still an excellent shooter and bright player. West and Wally can be counted down at the end of the games. Bibby might be, but Williams can't be. If I was building a team for the future, I'd take Atlanta's group. If I want to win now, I'll take Delonte West, Daniel Gibson, Sasha Pavlovic, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Joe Smith, Ben Wallace, Anderson Varejao, and Wally Szczerbiak.

I'll put it this way,

A team of,

PG Bibby
SG James
SF Williams
PF Smith
Cc Horford

would compete with Boston and Detroit for the best record in the East.

I like Delonte alot since he's a huge improvement for the Cavaliers but there is a reason that the Cavs were pursuing Bibby for the last year. I'd say that the only player that is starting for the Cavaliers that'd be able to start for the Hawks is Z (although people are going to argue that Z can't run). He pretty much abuses whomever the Hawks have guarding him.

He comes in handy when he's hitting his shots, but unfortunately the Cavs haven't been able to count on that except about every 5 or so games.
