Most important is to get a concrete definition of what a superstar is..im talking strictly on the court..nothing about marketability.

No, since Rasheed Wallace (a top 5 post defender) and the rest of the Piston big men play excellent defense on Howard for a series completely takes away his superstar status.

Depends on what u classify as a superstar but no, not until he starts dominating on the offensive end and demanding a double team every single time he gets the ball in the post.

He is very good player. I'll leave it at that.

No one should be getting on his back though.

im sure lee can make a jumpshot, more like a glorified tyson chandler. even with his inabilities on offense, if he just focused on his strentghs he'd be unstoppable, but he tries to do things he can't do, and when he can't do them, his confidence drops and he can't do anything else. when dwight improves mentally, it won't matter that he can't make a jumpshot.

He just a glorified David Lee.

Just how the "Will Orlando Make the playoffs?" thread went.

He needed to have a 30/20 in one of those playoff games vs the raptors. I know he was 1 point away and all, but if he was a superstar he would have gotten it, no excuses.

He was, until his team lost tonight.

Since we're all positive this is what the thread is based on.

I think he would be if Orlando actually ran their offense through him.

Im not going to answer this question, id rather you wait till next year to watch our 22 year old mvp candidate, 1st team all nba, 2nd all nba defensive team center untill you eat your words next season.

Dwight made the All-NBA 1st team. Of course he's a superstar!

Dwight is a beast on the boards and is becoming a defensive force. You also have to devote a big man to constantly keep a body between him and the basket when Orlando is on offense.

That said, he can be taken out of his offense too easily by just keeping him away from the bucket. Dwight doesn't have the size to just muscle his way to the basket like Shaq used to, and the refs these days wouldn't let him charge in like Shaq even if he did. Unfortunately, Dwight is like Shaq in one respect: you can't run the ball through him at the end of games because he's too poor a free throw shooter. He produces very little offense in the clutch:

As the OP suggested, whether you consider him a superstar or not is entirely dependent on your definition of the term. There's no doubt he's a badass, though.
