who would you rather have on your team?

For two irrelevant players, this sure pops up a lot. I'll take DingleBury.

Marbury easily. At least he's still talented. Francis doesn't even have talent anymore.

The interesting thing is that despite how much hate he gets (and mostly deservedly) Marbury was actually like 9th all-time in APG for a long time at better than 9 per game. I'm sure he's dropped a few spots over the last 2 years, but I've never thought he was quite as selfish as he was made out to be.

It's more a lack of bball IQ. Just not understanding when to do what or how to really control a game. Francis always came across to me as just being selfish.

But those are just general observations I've made, and I've never exactly spent any quality time with either guy so mebbe I'm way off base here. But I'd rather have Marbury. The only 2 things Francis does better are rebound and dunk and neither is particularly integral to the PG position. Marbury is the more efficient passer and scorer.

I never really liked both players. In Marbury's case, he was a cancer. In Francis's case, he's even more of a cancer and he wasn't as talented as I thought he was made out to be. Marbury was one of the more talented point guards I've ever seen, and what's odd about Marbury is that he can make great passes as indicative his apg and has good bball IQ (I heard he's in a league where he's one of the few point guards ever to average 20 and 8 for like 4 seasons) it's just his IQ in general is what's holding him back. If basketball players were like a puzzle, he would be those 3D puzzles that would take weeks to finish, though his finished product would look sloppy because he didn't know how to construct it properly.

I would definitely take Marbury 10 times out of 10.

Marbury was easily the more talented player in his prime. Strangely enough Stevie "Franchise" actually had more impact when he played for Houston than Starbury ever had on any team in his career.

Both were alot better at their peaks than most realize. Alot of the criticism people have on them is based on looking back now.

I'd take Marbury, Francis was a decent player but he was more of a ticket seller than anything else.

As a Knicks fan, it's an easy decision: Mountainbury.

I'd go with Francis. I remember his days from Maryland college to his first couple of prime years in Houston. Francis was much stronger, and athletic than Marbury. He knew how to attack the basket and get the the free throw line. Francis was also the better rebounder as he once averaged 20pts, 6reb, and 6ast. But Marbury was the better play maker by far. In the end I'd take Francis just because I've seen him play more.

Francis had more of an impact in Houston and for one year in Orlando than Marbury ever did, so I'll go with Francis. Besides, he was much more clutch
