Rose
Mayo
Bayless (?)
Beasley
Oden

vs

Conley
Durant
Green
Yi
Horford

_________

Talent wise, I say rookies win, but as we've all seen, they usually hit that Rookie wall, while Sophomores are more accustomed to the longer season.

Rookies. Rose and Beasley are potential HOFs and Oden is gonna be great with the Blazers while the Sophomores only have Durant (another possible HOF) and Horford. The rest are not special like those three players. Bayless also has the chance to be a great starter for any lottery team.

I'll take the Sophs. Did the 03 Rookies lose too?

Ok, switch Young with Green, does it make that much of a difference?

I know technically Oden is a rook next season, but its unfair to put him on the rookie squad as he was the #1 pick in this season's draft. I mean, you basically gave away the best player on the soph squad to the rooks.

Conley
Durant
Moon
Horford
Oden

Would have been my soph team. Shift Hortford to C and put in Young at PF if Oden can't be used by the soph's I guess but he shouldn't be given to the rooks.

That's good and all, but since Oden will be considered a rookie next year, he'd be playing for the rookie team.

It was mostly the fact that he's supposed to be real good, but there isn't a top flight SF in the draft (if Beasley is playing PF here) to start over him

Are you kidding me ?

Alright to make this more fair i'd go with a lineup of

Conley
Durant
Moon/Young/Green (whichever one you prefer)
Horford
Oden

vs.

Rose
Mayo

Beasley
Lopez

Rose > Conley
Mayo < Durant
Randolph/Greene = (any of the three)
Beasley > Horford
Lopez < Oden

I'll take rookies. In a real game their depth would show, they're a deeper class then the sophomores

Oden would be on the Rookie team.

you guys realize he is talking about the rookie sophomore game next season, right? Not long term potential.

Sophs will win in a blowout like they almost always do, Oden or not.

Better teams

Rookies :PG-Rose, G-Mayo, SF-Galinari, PF-Beasley, C-Oden
Bench: G-Fernandez, PF-Splitter,

Sophmores: PG-Conley, G-Stuckey, F-Durant, F-Young, C-Horford
Bench: SG-N. Young, F-Thorton,

As usual the sophmores win it

for such a team I'd say (remember I'm just talking about next season):

PG: Conley > Rose (Especially in an all star game where defense is not a factor, but I'd probably take Conley over Rose for just next season anyway.)
SG: Stuckey > Mayo
SF - Durant > Galinari
PF - Young < Beasley
C - Horford = Oden

Bench
Young < Fernandez
Thornton > Splitter

Hence, sophomore blowout as usual.

The rookie team needs some more Brook Lopez. He'll contribute to any team immediately.

It's funny how people hype up a particular draft and then after three months, call the draft class a bust because the players didn't meet the unrealistic expectations.

Those who believe the 08 draft is better (and deeper) then the 07 class will be very disappointed.

Anyways the more experienced sophomores will easily take this one with Horford winning MVP.
