Carmelo is easily the better player, but I'd rather have Joe on my team

Melo is the better player, and i'd rather have him on my team.. Sad how everyone is underrating Melo now.. With the correct coach that understands how to utilize his talents, he'd be a bonafide superstar..

Possibly...but what coach would that be? George Karl coached one of the best defensive teams in recent memory (1996 Sonics), but for some reason, Melo acts like he's just too good to have to even ATTEMPT to guard someone. You could see it in in game huddles, where Karl would be PLEADING with his team in a tight ball game to step up and make a shot, and Melo would be looking off into the distance, clearly not paying attention.
He has the talent to be the league's most dominant scorer, but it will never happen. Poor shot selection and notoriously chucking will always keep him back. It'll be just 1 or 2 more years, and people will start comparing him to Zach Randolf. Good player, great stats, liked in the clubhouse, not a great on the court team mate, and never going to be a major part of a championship team.

For all of his bad shot selection, Carmelo Anthony is a reasonably efficient scorer. He needs to work on his defense, but comparing him to Zach Randolph is an insult.
I've generally thought Carmelo is overrated, but your position is taking it way too far.

Is it? They're both big and kind of chubby. They're black holes on offense. Neither plays defense. What am I missing here?

Joe Johnson, better all-around player
Carmelo, has better scoring talent and athleticism, better rebounder, and some up-side left
I'll take Joe Johnson on my team, though

Melo hasn't been chubby since his rookie year and he is far from a black hole. He isn't a great defender but your making him out to be a lot worse than he is. He is only 24 and already an all-star starter. I would rather have Melo he is in another league than Joe Johnson

No, it's a fair comparison. I'd still take Anthony though...

Carmelo is not a black hole, he averages about 4 assists as a finisher. When Melo gets the ball, he is supposed to try and score. He's an efficient scorer too, i'm not sure what you are talking about farzi...
