They both have similar bodies though i think perkins has longer length, similar roles for their team. Perkins plays like 6 minutes more and their stats are so close. I would probably lean by the slightest of margins towards perkins, but turiaf is not far behind.

Perkins.

Turiaf is a little overrated, like many hustle guys. He is an average-at-best rebounder and a poor positional defender. Yeah, he can block shots, but he will also get you into the penalty mighty quick.

Both are 6'10" bigs who focus on defense.

Perkins' 07/08 stats:
6.9 ppg (61.5 fg%, 62.3 ft%, 2.3 fta), 6.1 rpg, 1.1 apg, 1.5 bpg, 0.4 spg, 1.6 to, 3.1 pf

Turiaf's 07/08 stats (adjusted to from 18.7 mpg to the 24.5 mpg Perk plays):
8.6 ppg (47.4 fg%, 75.3 ft%, 3.1 fta), 5.1 rpg, 2.1 apg, 1.8 bpg, 0.5 spg, 1.2 to, 3.4 pf

Perkins is a slightly better rebounder who scores much more efficiently from the field. Turiaf is a slightly better shot blocker and a much better passer, who scores more in general, and gets to the line more, where he is more efficient. Perk gets more minutes, but that's really only because of his teammates - Turiaf is obviously not gonna start over either of Gasol or Odom (and at the start of the year, it was the same deal, except with Bynum and Odom). I give the slight edge to Turiaf, but it's really close.

Perkins would be a lot better if he played with Turiaf's energy and passion. I'd still give Perkins the advantage, but I'm not sure he has ever ran the floor. Whenever he gets a defensive rebound or blocks a shot, he slowly walks up the floor like he has nothing left to do.

Both are very foul prone, Ronny has the advantage on offense and Perkins has the advantage on defense so its kind of a toss up for me. But I would probably go with Perkins, he's a better post defender.
