When both were at the top of their game, who was better?

Tough call, but I'd probably take Sprewell. He was the better overall offensive player, better defender, more all star games, and was an all nba 1st team player.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

Spree easily. I liked Houston, but he's defense was non-existent, and wasn't nearly as versatile offensive player as Latrell. Spree was much tougher, more athletic, but a much bigger moron.
