Dumars. One of my favorite players of all time. Every team can use a guy like him.

Dumars.....one of the best defenders @the SG spot, complete selfless team player that could fit in on every team with an underrated offensive game and a classy person.
AI is just too hard to build a successful team around. Although, a AI-Joe D backcourt would be crazy....Joe D perfectly covers for AI's weaknesses.

Dumars is probably my favorite basketball player ever, so I won't claim to be unbiased. Obviously, I prefer him. Fantastic defender, good scorer, and he fit seamlessly into any role the Pistons required. Second banana, go to scorer, sixth man, didn't matter. Individually, Iverson is clearly better, but he pretty much has to be surrounded by specific role players in order for his teams to be successful. Dumars has thrived under star players and is an easier player to build with.

Joe D, pretty much my all time favorite player, and a guy with whom you can just win and win and win, despite not being flashy at all.
Almost the polar opposite of Iverson.

Okay this thread just shows that Joe Dumars is perhaps the most overrated player in the history of the league. Even Dumars probably look at this and think you guys have to be on some kind of drug. Your talking about a 16 points per game guy. He might be a little better than Rip Hamilton.

easily Joe.
his defense is legendary
he is clutch and a flat out winner
he can do what Isiah did when asked.
he was a #1 who also knows how to play as a #2

Joe Dumars if I have a contender, Allen Iverson otherwise. That's not really saying much since you'll always want to go contender...so Joe Dumars.

I normally take the guy with the defense, but I simply cannot snub AI. This little guy is simply amazing.

Easily 'll take Dumars, the better player on a team, plays defense, can score for you. And he didn't ave a big ego/attitude problems/ legal issues.

Depends on the situation. I'd obviously want Dumars if Isiah or any elite PG was running the point. If I didn't have an elite PG, then Iverson almost everytime and it's not even close.

Dumars is about a lot more than scoring, and in notable fashion.
Iverson's the superior scorer, but Joe has significant scoring ability himself, along with everything else.
Starting a team, it's Iverson
Filling in the SG spot - easily Dumars.

Dumars FTW!
The ultimate team player. Michael Jordan said he was the best to ever defend him.
Did what it took to win, plain and simple.
AI has shown his selfishness. He won't sacrifice his scoring for the good of the team. Has shot poor %'s most of his career.
