He said that he was/is the best player of his generation so does that make him better than these two?

This thread would work better if you changed your name to goat:finley.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

1. Clyde "The Glide" Drexler.
The best player on some ridiculous early 90s Portland teams... 2nd best shooting guard in the NBA from probably 1986 until his injuries in 1993 after some guy on the Bulls who's name escapes me.

2a. Paul Pierce
Almost singlehandedly led a weak Boston team to the Conference Finals a few years back... spent most of his prime on mis-managed, miscoached teams. Lethal scorer in his youth, tough, gritty player who played solid D and got to the free throw line. Absolutely used to kill my Nets back in the day. A lot of his legacy depends on the next 2-3 years.

2b. Micheal Finley
Amazing scorer and shooter - spent his prime as the 3rd option for some really good Dallas teams. A poor man's Paul Pierce, not a tough defender, not as good of a passer, but probably slightly a better shooter.
