I'd put Bynum above Chandler. Comparable rebounder, more diverse offensive game.

after the defensive display he put out there on duncan, i'd have to disagree with that.

I'd put Rasho at the top of the list.

I thought Amare was a PF. And I think Haywood should be in there somewhere. He's really improved his game especially defensively.

bynum hasnt earnt that ranking yet. he played well for a half a season. then got injured. wait till he gets back from his injury and proves himself more

i included amare because most of his minutes were at center, the same position he earned 2nd team all nba honors at. thats why i omitted duncan. he earned all nba honors as a forward.

Yao is the best center in the NBA

too lazy to do 15

1) Tim Duncan
2) Yao Ming (when healthy)
3) Dwight Howard
4) Pau Gasol
5) Al Jefferson

Damn, Dalembert can't even get an honorable mention? I think he deserves to be in the top-15. He averaged a double-double this year and was the Sixers defensive back bone.

I think Al Jefferson is to high. He's one of those guys that puts up numbers on bad teams, but doesn't really seem to impact the game.

1) Timmy
2) Dwight
3) Yao/Amare
4) Yao/Amare
5) Sheed

Timmy wins this hands down if you consider him a C, as I do. Yao and Amare is a toss up for me because both guys are able to dominate aspects of the game, but are also incredibly flawed.

Despite being a Piston fan I don't feel good about putting Sheed at 5. If you just asked me if he's a top 5 C I'd say no. But the position is so weak I'm not sure who else to put there. Maybe Pau, but I feel Sheeds defense wins out. Well, at least when Sheed plays up to his ability. When he doesn't...well, he's not even top 15 let alone top 5.

I'd actually take Chandler ahead of Camby. Hardware aside I actually think Tyson is the better defender. Camby racks up the stats, but I think his D is a bit overrated, and Chandler probably a bit underrated.

I can't believe the disrespect Kaman and Dalembert are getting here.

I assume Amare is a PF as is Gasol.

1. Howard
2. Ming
3. Jefferson
4. Kaman
5. Dalembert

On this list, I count Duncan, Bosh, Howard, Gasol as C because that is where they typically play when on the court. With Shaq on board, Amare is no longer a C

1. Duncan
2. Yao
3. Howard
4. Jefferson
5. Bosh
6. R. Wallace
7. Camby
8. Gasol
9. Chandler
10. Kaman
11. Bogut
12. Dalembert
13. Biedrins
14. O'Neal
15. Miller
16. Bynum
17. Okafor

I like the respect Yao is getting in this thread..I'd rate him ahead of D12 at this point too..

the list above me has Bosh too low, and Bynum at 16 is way too low..he was putting up about 17 and 12 when he went out..I think a lot of Laker fans overrate him because they're ignoring what his injuries might end up doing to his game, but he's definitely way ahead of #16..he has the potential to be one of the better big men in the NBA..also, he has shown a lot of mental toughness after Kobe Bryant embarrassed him and his family in public and wanted him off his team..

Nellie can play Harrington at the 5 spot, does that make Harrington a Center? I don't think so. Guys like Amare, Gasol, Duncan, Jefferson, Horford, Bosh are NOT centers even if that's where they see their minutes.

Top 15 centers:
Howard
Yao
Kaman
Camby
Chandler
Okafor
Okur
Miller
Ilguaskas
Dalembert
Bogut
Biedrins
Shaq
Bynum
Haywood

Those guys are all CENTERS. Not PF's masquerading at the 5 spot due to a lack of quality CENTERS or INJURY that depletes a roster.

I'd also put Yao ahead of Howard, when healthy that is.
