Clyde Drexlar kills Pierce at every aspect of the game. Play making, scoring, defending, rebounding, everything Pierce can do, Clyde can do it MUCH better.

Honestly?

Drexler is on another level. He's kind of always been underrated due to playing in the Jordan era. He was a very explosive scorer (efficient I might add) and a terrific all around player.

Paul Pierce near unstoppable when he gets in the flow of a game. He can, at will, post up a defender, or take him off the dribble, or shoot jumpers in his face. yeah Clyde Drexlar is the better player, but to say its not even close thats just stupid, Pierce is as good of shooter, defender, passer, and hes better post player and hes one of the best clutch performers in the NBA.

Paul Pierce as underrated as Clyde Drexlar on realgm.

Clyde was numerous times top 10 in MVP voting, defensively Pierce doesn't stand a chance going up against Clyde. Scoring between the to is similar, but everything else Clyde was another step ahead, and may I add he didn't need two other SUPERSTARS to lead his team. Before Hakeem, when Clyde was in Portland the guy lead the team to a finals appearance and was a very strong force in the playoffs.

To play devil's advocate, they actually had pretty similar skillsets and stats. Drexler's the greater player because of his team success, and because he was probably the league's second-best wing for about five years, but I'm not convinced he's that much more talented.
