Is Martell Webster the next Joe Johnson?

They are about the same size. Martell is about the age now when Joe Johnson started to breakout.

Thoughts?

I like Martell a lot, but I don't think he'll be the all-around player Johnson is. He can't handle the ball, pass, or score like Johnson can. He is turning into a nice roleplayer who can shoot and defend though. That's a valuable combination of skills. I expect him to continue to improve, but I think he'll always be a quieter player who might help his team but won't get a ton of touches or make the headlines.

Not at all. Like bot said I'm also a big Webster fan but I don't see him ever having the ball handling or pass that Johnson has right now. He also most likely be able to get himself scoring chances like Johnson either.

JJ does much more then Webster ever did. JJ can shoot, score, rebound, pass, steal. He can do a lot, JJ is just a much more complete player then Webster. And I don't ever see that out of Webster. He looks like he can be someone that gives your points, but thats it.

No way he has the all around game like JJ. He is more of Steve Smith type.
