Reg. season MVP or Finals MVP

Which would you rather have? You win the championship either way.
League MVP, another player on your team takes the Finals MVP
no league MVP, but Finals MVP

Well if you win the championship either way, then the regular season MVP is obviously the greater award. You'd still be regarded as the best player on the championship team, anybody can get hot for a 4-6 game stretch (see: Tony Parker, Duncan was obviously their best player throughout the season and the playoffs last season).
League MVP and a championship IMO.

Depends on the Finals MVP. Are you getting it because someone has to or are you getting it because you dominated?
If you dominated, give me the finals mvp.
A season mvp and finals mvp could be gotten without a player really dominating.

Add another vote for me!
Finals MVP means you were the best player on your team for 4 wins. That may mean your team's best player had a great match up againt him.
Season MVP means you were the best player in the best league in the world over a 1230 game stretch.

Season MVP obviously.
Even if you don't win the championship, the season MVP will be remembered more.

Regular season MVP is more important for most players because it involves a larger sample size of games and a larger pool of candidates.
Finals MVP is more important for legends because it gives some insight into clutch ability.

league MVP, because role-players like Tony Parker can win finals MVP, it's only luck to be in a good team and have 2 or 3 good teams, not be a good player.

That's if you are winning it by default. However if you are talking about domination, Winning Finals MVP by dominating is more impressive than winning season MVP by dominating.

LEAGUE MVP!!!!! 82 or 7 games of consisten play? Even when considering the overall increase in performance during the finals, the player who is consistent enough to win league MVP deserves praise.

Finals MVP, unless only stats matter. Winning the Championship is the goal, and a finals MVP usually means you did that and were the reason your team won it.

Is it a guarantee a Season MVP makes the Hall of Fame.......

In most cases yes on both accounts. But season MVP is more likely to make the hall of fame.

What season MVP hasn't made the Hall of Fame.
I'm guessing that Chauncey Billups and Tony Parker aren't locks......
