Rose/Conley
Mayo/Bayless
Durant/Thornton

Oden/Hortford

How many wins could this team get for the next three years?

Too many scorers. Players like Mayo/Rose/Durant and Beasley all have the same role. You can't just throw them on the court.

They'd be a lottery team.

In a few years they'd be an all star team

Disagreed, Rose is a distributor, Mayo is a combo guard who would thrive as an off the ball guy, and a shooter.

Beasley is a face up post man, Durant is a wing with unlimited range... they all mesh well, especially with a big post scorer in the paint, good shooters on the wing, and a great penetrator and distributor.

Not to mention, you have 2 great defenders on the perimeter, and a dominant defender in the paint, so you don't have to worry too much about Durant and Beasley being weak defensively.

Big team, great rebounding, great defense, nice offensive balance with a few guys that can take over, great great bench....

I think that team would be really good straight away, but have a lot of growing pains, but they would all find their roles in the first year, and they would be down right dominant, maybe as early as the middle of year 2.

Not enough guys that look to pass. Everyone on that list is looking to put numbers up for themselves. Maybe an 8th or a 7th seed in the playoffs.

Beasley's hype is way bigger than Horford's hype

You have 3 guys who are excellent passers for the position(Rose, Mayo, and Oden) and 2 guys who are functional passers.

You have 4 guys with range out to the 3 point line, and 3 guys who can all come off screens and hit shots from anywhere on the floor.

You have 3 guys who can penetrate, two guys who can effectively score on the block, and a 2 front court players who hit there FT's at a nice clip.

With a functional system, this could be a killer offense with lots of size/athleticism, and flexibility.

Edit: and that's just the starters....

They'd push playoffs in at least two of the three years; at least in the East.

Rose would the distributor that everyone has been talking about. Not the Kidd-like vision, but just a great facilitator. That rubs off on Mayo, who would thrive alongside a guard who can do most of the ball-handling duties. Rose may grow into a physically-imposing guard worthy of handling two-guards.

Durant has had a year to adjust, he shot less three-pointers, and became more accurate. Shot selection improved. He'd blossom into a 25ppg scorer very easily. Oden would most likely come in and be a double-double guy with two blocks. Great defensive center at the very least. He's a good guy to put alongside Beasley, as he can mask some of his defensive deficiencies. Not to mention, Oden opens up the paint for Beasley.

Off the bench, you would have Conley, who would become more accomplished as he progresses. Bayless is a prospect, but could be a handy bench player for this side within three years. Thornton is instant offense off the bench and would be the sixth man. Young is going to be a star. He made great strides defensively in his rookie season and will become a two-way player soon. Horford would easily be the league's best back-up center, and would ensure 48 minutes of hell for opposing centers.

Plenty to like about the team.

What not to like? NBA experience.
