Who ya got?
*Didn't include Aldridge/Oden for obvious reasons even though they'll be near the top when Oden is healthy*

So then what's your reasoning for not including Howard and Lewis? I guess there's no room on there for them after your team's blockbuster trade

some of those options aren't even in the discussion to be honest.

You mean "best pf/c combo".
The front-court is comprised of three positions (SF/PF/C).

Shaq/Amare and Okur/Boozer look good on paper but theyre horrible defensively..
Gasol and Bynum i think is the best...Garnett Perkins #2..

Simply because I'm not sure they're better than anyone on the list. Dwight definitely fits in but Lewis kinda ruins it imo and I said combo so it has to include both.

True that. Gasol and Bynum haven't played a game together, either.

there's a big difference between a duo that hasn't played together with a duo that includes a player that has never even set foot on an nba court.

If Lewis isnt on it because of him being an SF then thats fine.. but I think they're a top 3 combo in the league (him and Dwight)

Brand Kaman for me pretty easily, although I'll bet Gasol Bynum will win the poll. Who was even remotely suggesting Ganett Perkins?

Top Tier
Bosh/J'Oneal
Brand/Kaman
Gasol/Bynumn
and probuly West/Chandler or Lewis/D-12 (d-12 is a god)
Kinda funny I think teh clear top tier combos are coming off injuries or haven't played together yet.
If I had to pick one I'd pick... Brand/Kaman.

The only reason I included Garnett/Perkins is because they won the title. It's obvious Perkins is not an elite player by any stretch but he has the most recent ring. It kinda screwed over Howard and Lewis because you can only put 10 options.
For all of those saying guys haven't played together, I guess I should say on paper which still wouldn't include Oden since he hasn't played an NBA game yet.

Yeah was more referring to the poster who had them at #2, and the couple of C's fans (I hope) who have already voted for them. I understand why you put them on the list, although they barely scrape on. As great as KG is Perkins is nowhere near the level of almost anyone else on the list, he's there to do a job which he did ok.

1. Brand / Kaman
2. Gasol / Bynum
3. West / Chandler
4. Bosh / O'neal
5. Amare / Shaq
6. Boozer / Okur
the rest don't belong in the discussion. dwight and lewis should be.

It may be somewhat homer of me, but I think KG/Perk is right up there in the best pf/c combo in the league. You can't just look at each player individually and compare them because obviously Perkins doesn't stand up to a lot of the names on the list. Instead you have to look at how the two players work together and how them complement each other.
Perk/KG is clearly the best pf/c combo on the defensive end IMO. Not only are the great individual defenders, but they complement each other extremely well. KG is the reigning DPOY and he is the best at defending the pick and roll and defending mobile bigs like Nowitzki, Odom, etc. His weakness is banging inside with bigger bigs. Perkins is the exact opposite. He struggles the further he is away from the basket, but he is one of the top post defenders in the league. Being the best defensive pf/c combo automatically puts them in the discussion.
On the offensive end they are not as good, but still decent because of KG. So overall, it's the best defensive frontcourt in the league and one of the worst offensive frontcourts on the list but still better then a few that are on the list.

No offense, but it is somewhat 'homerish' of you. Yes Perk/KG play well as a 'team', but that is obviously not the criteria for this discussion given Gason/Bynum, JO/Bosh etc are on the list and have never played together. KG is a great player no question, but not even he can drag he and Perk into a discussion featuring Brand/Kaman, Gasol/Bynum, West/Chandler, Bosh/O'neal, Amare/Shaq and Boozer/Okur. Perkins is a guy who became a championship center by virtue of having 3 great players around him, hey good luck to the guy, but his job was essentially to guard a center as best he could whilst playing on the best defensive unit in the league and not stuff up too bad on the offensive end. He might barely be a top 20 center, barely.

The thing about Kaman/Brand is, well for one, I think Brand is getting traded and for 2 when they did play together, they weren't all that great. It took Brand's injury for Kaman to take the lead role up front and really come into his own. The question is if Kaman can continue to play at that level deferring to Brand.
O'Neal and Bosh have a shot at being the best in basketball if healthy, but they're not going anywhere until they find their Ginobli/Ray Allen/Jefferson type wing player.
