If you were to start a franchise, who would you rather build around? Bosh or Amare? and WHY?

Both guys were playing far to much center for my liking, I think in both cases you want a good, strong defensive center that will attack the glass for you

Bosh is less of a liability defensively, he's actually a solid defender to me, Amare is trash on the pick and roll, and has problems with concentration on his man, but he is pretty nice at protecting the rim from layups and dunks.

I like Amare's offense more though, and Bosh isn't good enough in the other areas to outshine that for me, I'll take Amare, slightly.

ill take Amare simply because he is quite the physical specimen that has the ability to be a good defender and you can polish him more while chris bosh can't add much on his frame and plays more like a SF for me than a PF.

Considering Amare's microscopic knee surgery, I'll probably take Bosh whos a better all-round player imo

Why did you give us the option to pick two? There are only two options! Haha.

I'd take Bosh until Amare shows us that he can do what he does without another star to shoulder the load.

Give me Bosh. Amare is better on O but he doesn't exert any energy on the other side of the floor. Bosh isn't a great defender by any means, but he's adequate.

I'll take Bosh because of Amare's micro fracture and is more of a liability on defense, and of course because I'm a Raptors fan. :D

Bosh because he has a better Offensive game than Amare from 10 feet away from the basket. His handle is alot better than Amare's and he gives alot more hustle than Amare does.

How can you say that Amare is trash on the pick and roll? He and Nash have been running the pick and roll better than ANYONE in the league.
