Redd or Iguodala?

I'm a Bucks fan and a thread involving the Sixers was on our board. A guy on our board thinks Iguodala is very overrated and that Redd is not only a better player, but a much better player. This i disagree with strongly even though i'm a Bucks fan.
I believe that if say every GM in the game could for free have either Redd or Iguodala and both players had the exact same contract, that more would choose Iguodala because he's better at every facet of the game besides scoring.
I realize there aren't GM's here, but if you were given the choice and each guy had say a 4yr/44 million dollar contract, which player would you choose?

I would take Iguodala without hesitating, even if there wasn't an age difference.

I would probably go with Iggy on this one if I was running a franchise. Redd may be better right now and might have reached a peak that Iggy may never reach, but Iggy is a player that hasnt shown stretches were he has single handedly taken his team out of a game. Redd jacks up too many three points becoming a black hole where the ball does not come back.

I'd take Redd. I've never been a fan of Iguodala, while he's improved in recent years, he just makes too many dumb plays in crunchtime and is such a mentally weak player.
It'll be interesting to see how he ends up playing with Brand, for both his sake and the fans of the Sixers I hope Iguodala doesn't revert back to his scared puppy form and refuse to take shots like he did when he was playing with Iverson.
(*Note: Iguodala definitely has the skillset to be better than Redd and he's clearly less selfish, but as of right now I just think Redd is better)

Igoudala is practically twice the player that Redd is. Not only is he a fine offensive player, but he has a multi-dimensional game.

i like iggy more but ill prolly take redd
iggy just has not shown he could ever carry his team on his back and he jacks up too many fadeaways when theres a solid defender on him ala piston series.....
but he is def.i a better playmaker.

i'd pick ai as he is more skilled than redd. he can create plays for people and he is a poor man's lebron james. also his defence is solid and he can guard your teams best player.

Does Redd play good offense as the #1 option?

There was a time when I would have taken Redd here. No longer.
Iguodala isn't just better at scoring, his contribution goes much farther beyond the stats than Redd's does. He's probably one of the best wing defenders in the game. His shaky jumpshot used to bother me but he is a consistent scoring option. He's not the type of guy that's going to take over a game. But he will lock down his defender, and generally outproduce them in every facet with strong rebounding and solid playmaking.
On the other hand, it seems like Redd's contribution is less than his statistical production. It seems more like TJ Ford was the one pushing the Bucks into the playoffs than it was Redd. The lefty is a jumpshooter, and actually does a decent amount of scoring off-the-ball (49% assisted). But he's still somewhat of a ball-stopper because he's not that great of a playmaker for others. Obvious he has the edge in shooting and scoring, but I'm not sure about what else.
Redd would actually be a very nice complement to him, but I favor Iggy because of the dearth of truly effective defensive wings in the NBA today. Especially among star players. With Iggy you don't need to keep your defenders behind the three-point line on the other end of the floor, like Battier and Bowen.

If I need a #1 scoring option, I'll take Redd, but in general, I'd take Iggy. Redd is a better scorer, and likely wouldn't have folded like Iggy did against the Pistons, but Iggy is a better defender, a better playmaker, and is less selfish. Redd has that #1 scoring option mentality, but he's not quite good enough to be a #1 scoring option on a good team (neither is Iggy, but Iggy has more of a #2/#3 mentality).
Edit: for the Raptors, I would EASILY take Iggy. We already have out #1 scoring option (Bosh), and are badly in need of perimiter defense, slashing and rebounding.

Redd. Iggy is solid, but overrated.

I'll take Iggy. Could fill very nicely into Marions role as the 3rd option/ defending the other teams best G/F if Marion were to be traded.

Yeah, but imagine how many three-pointers Redd would make on the Heat.
It's like having a Jason Kapono who can actually create a shot for himself.
