STARTING LINEUP:

Image

PG John Stockton

The 2-year prime stats I will be using for Stockton will be:
1989-90: 17.2 PPG, 14.5 APG, 2.7 SPG, .514 FG%, .416 3pt%, .819 FT%

1990-91: 17.2 PPG, 14.2 APG, 2.9 SPG, .507 FG%, .345 3pt%, .836 FT%

John Stockton was picked early for a reason, stability and the pick and roll. During his prime he played the game of basketball with the safest hands as well as the court vision only superstars possess. He may not be as flashy as the other PGs during his time, but he was undeniably the safest PG this game has ever seen. His shooting touch and defensive prowess were also phenomenal as he always ranked near the top in efficiency and defensive stats. On this team, Stockton's main role on offence is run the pick and roll with LeBron or Yao, or use his brilliant court vision to find Ray Allen spotting up for a jumper or a 3-pt shot.

SG Ray Allen

The 2-year prime stats I will be using for Allen will be:
2000-01: 22.0 PPG, 5.2 RPG, .472 FG%, .610 TS%, .433 3pt%, .888 FT%

2001-02: 21.8 PPG, 4.5 RPG, .462 FG%, .598 TS%, .434 3pt%, .873 FT%

Ray Allen finally got his championship ring this year after a lengthy ringless career for this future hall of famer. Ray possesses perhaps the most lethal 3-point shooting stroke this league has ever seen. With crisp hands and clutchness unrivaled among his peers, Ray is always the type of back-court threat a championship contender needs. Allen's main role on my team is really simple, hide behind a Horace Grant/Yao Ming screen and curl around for a mid-range jumper, or park himself behind the three point line waiting for outlet passes from Yao's double teams, LeBron's epic-slashing, and Stockton's court vision.

SF LeBron James

The 2-year prime stats I will be using for James will be:
2004-05: 27.2 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 7.2 APG, 2.2 SPG, .472 FG%, .351 3pt%, .750 FT%

2005-06: 31.4 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 6.6 APG, 1.6 SPG, .480 FG%, .335 3pt%, .738 FT%

LeBron James, we are all witnesses. After almost taking down the eventual champions Boston, LeBron is -the- best player in the current NBA. LeBron possesses an unbelievably chiseled and muscular body, while the harnessing the quickness and athleticism of point guards and power forwards. LeBron is the epitome of a "one man army" as he can single-handedly take over games without breaking a sweat. So far in his career, LeBron has not seen a single defender that can contain him throughout the course of a game, while he has not had the luck of having proper running mates, LeBron can only be stopped via double/triple/quadruple-teams sent by opposing teams to muffle his ferocity and tenacity. Therefore, LeBron's luck will change, as on this team, LeBron's is undeniably my #1 scoring option. He can be a PF when he wants to, he can be a PG when he wants to, he can be a SG when he wants to. He's so versatile and so good with the ball that it doesnt matter what kind of matchup he'll face. LeBron will take his unstoppable slashing game as well as pick-n-roll play to my team and provide as that secondary playmaker to get the ball to either Yao or Allen's hands for a easy bucket, as no team will dare try to defend isolation plays with LeBron.

PF Horace Grant

The 2-year prime stats I will be using for Grant will be:[/size]
1991-92: 14.2 PPG, 10.0 RPG, 1.6 BPG, 1.2 SPG, .578 FG%, .618 TS%

1992-93: 13.2 PPG, 9.5 RPG, 1.2 BPG, 1.2 SPG, .508 FG%, .534 TS%

Horace Grant is my premier post defender, simple and clear. He isnt the "21st century" type of PF where he could dominate scoring inside and out. Instead, Horace is the type of player coaches rave about due to their immense tenacity and defensive awareness. During this two-year prime, Grant helped Jordan and Pippen's Chicago Bulls to 2 straight titles, his personal first two titles as well as his rise to stardom as a defender. Whenever PFs were matched up against Grant, they knew they had better have something up their sleeve or else Grant would simply overpower them in the post and deny a close-range bucket. On this team, Horace's main role on offence is to set bone-jarring picks and screens for Ray Allen who will curl around for a jumper or 3pt shot, as well as crashing the boards for an offensive rebound, since I don't need him to score and focus on attacking, his main job is on defence, where he will guard the strongest frontcourt player the opposing team has, and provide secondary rebounding help to Yao in the post, providing toughness and intimidation.

C Yao Ming

The 2-year prime stats I will be using for Yao will be:
2006-07: 25.0 PPG, 9.4 RPG, 2.0 BPG, .516 FG%, .862 FT%

2007-08: 22.0 PPG, 10.8 RPG, 2.0 BPG, .507 FG%, .850 FT%

Yao Ming, the final piece of the starting lineup, and arguably, the most important player of all. Never has the NBA ever seen a 7'6" move so smooth and play so graciously in the post. Tell you right now folks, its hard to do ANYTHING smoothly when you're 7'6, and 310 pounds no less. Yao's arsenal of post moves can rank him among the NBA's all time greats, as his game closely resembles that of the late Wilt Chamberlain and the NBA's all-time points leader, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Yao can play within 3 feet of the net, or 18 feet away from the net, he can dunk on you, he can pop a jumper in your eye. He can block your shot, he can cross you over (well maybe just once). Yao is truly a special player in this league given his size and his mass. On this team, Yao will be the focus point of my offence for LeBron. After the initial entry pass to Yao from either LeBron or Stockton, Yao will post up his defender and muscle his way into the low post, upon drawing a double/triple/quadruple team, Yao's passing ability kicks in and lets him pass to one of 2 options: an open Ray Allen jumper, or a cutting LeBron James, who no one in this league has been able to stop so far. Being 7'6" is already a huge advantage for our team, but having players like Ray Allen and LeBron James will finally "unleash" Yao Ming.

ROTATION:

Image

PG Allen Iverson

The 2-year prime stats I will be using for Iverson will be:
2004-05: 30.7 PPG, 7.9 APG, .424 FG%, .532 TS%, 10.5 FTA, .835 FT%, 2.4 SPG

2005-06: 33.0 PPG, 7.4 RPG, .447 FG%, .543 TS%, 11.5 FTA, .814 FT%, 1.9 SPG

Allen Iverson is undeniably one of the best volume scorers in the history of the NBA. His ability to get to the rim at will and draw fouls is mind-blowing yet he makes it look so easy time after time. He is a shooting guard trapped in a point guard's body, and is definitely not your run-of-the-mill combo guard, as he possesses the fastest foot speed the NBA's ever seen in a player, as well as the uncanny ability to seal off passing lanes with his quick hands on defence. The knock on Iverson is obviously his tendency to dominate the ball without looking for his teammates, but for a 7th round pick, Iverson's MVP mentality will pay huge dividends on a team that is set on defence, and lacks a sparkplug off the bench. The main role Iverson will hold on my team is to be a pure scorer and floor general of the 2nd unit, I do no not possess any volume scorers on the 2nd unit so it is the perfect opportunity for Iverson, as he will play around 30 minutes per game, about 10 less than his usual average, but he should be able to get in as many shots as he like with the 2nd unit since they do not require touches to be effective. His defence is also underrated, he has great lateral quickness and great instincts, which enable him to intercept entry passes and dishes from the other team's passers, which is an added bonus for my 2nd unit.

SG Kirk Hinrich

The 2-year prime stats I will be using for Hinrich will be:
2005-06: 15.9 PPG, 6.3 APG, .370 3PT%, 1.2 SPG, .528 TS%

2006-07: 16.6 PPG, 6.3 APG, .415 3PT%, 1.3 SPG, .559 TS%

If there was anything Kirk Hinrich was known for when he was drafted, it was his funky hairstyle and his huge adam's apple. However, he was also a very intriguing guard. He could almost do everything at the guard position, he can shoot, slash, pass, and even be the team's designated wing defender. Hinrich is the perfect complement to Iverson in my backcourt as he provides that steady defence next to a small Iverson and can even move off the ball for an open jumper inside or outside as he has range all the way to the 3pt line. In my system Hinrich will likely average around 7-12 minutes a game, mainly backing up Stockton.

SF Rick Fox

The 2-year prime stats I will be using for Fox will be:
2000-01: 9.6 PPG, .393 3PT%, 0.9 SPG, .562 TS%

2001-02: 7.9 PPG, .313 3PT%, 0.8 SPG, .502 TS%

The hometown boy, Rick Fox, was my last pick in the draft, I was surprised how he was forgotten by some for his amazing hustle and defensive ability. The years I've picked for Fox's prime is from the Lakers' three-peat glory days when Fox was their primary wing defender and catch-and-shooter on the wing. Ever since Rick Fox, the Lakers even up until now have lacked that kind of glue-guy on the wing where one could shoot, defend the other team's best wing player, and provide off the ball movement for his more-hailed teammates. Fox was no pushover, weighing in at 230 pounds, his defensive strengths were mainly by sheer force and quickness of the hands and a long wingspan. During his glory days with the Lakers, most teams would often think about Kobe and Shaq first and leave Fox wide open for a jimmy. That is why Fox is the perfect complement on the my 2nd unit, bringing that defensive toughness and outside shooting to a unit dominated by Iverson, who, surprisingly, always needs good shooters and defenders like Fox to be effective.

PF Wes Unseld

The 2-year prime stats I will be using for Unseld will be:
1978-79: 10.9 PPG, 10.8 RPG, 4.1 APG, 0.9 SPG, 0.5 BPG .599 TS%, .577 FG%

1979-80: 9.7 PPG, 13.3 RPG, 4.5 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.7 BPG .543 TS%, .513 FG%

No mistake with this pick for a bench role player, Unseld is without question the GOAT with the outlet pass. For a power forward that stands 6'7, Unseld dominated the league with his tenancious rebounding and tremendous ability to quickly get the ball up the floor to a teammate via the outlet pass. The 2 years I'm using comes only after where the rules state so, and unluckily, right after he won the NBA finals MVP where he was able to shut down Jack Sikma and Paul Silas and keep them off the glass by dominating the boards, averaging over double figures in rebounding. Although these 2 years he no longer became the MVP he was in the early 70s, Unseld still managed to rank among league leaders in rebounds, blocked shots, and assists for a big man. On this team, Unseld will enjoy his role as pure a defensive stopper at the PF position, combining his bone-jarring picks with the steady shooting of Ray Allen as well as the pick-and-roll process with Iverson and Stockton. What separates Unseld from other backup PFs is his ability to send the outlet pass (especially to Iverson) and knock people around in the low post with his massive strength, something that will become very valuable for my 2nd unit.

C Tree Rollins

The 2-year prime stats I will be using for Rollins will be:
1982-83: 7.8 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 4.3 BPG, .510 FG%

1983-84: 8.6 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 3.6 BPG, .518 FG%

Another solid addition to my team, Tree Rollins' defensive awareness and blocking ability got him the distinction of All-NBA First Team and Second Team Defence awards in 82-83 and 83-84, an honor that clearly ranks him at the upper echelon of defensive centers, so few and precious in the history of basketball. Although he's no giant compared to my starter Yao Ming, he provided intimidation on both ends of the floor with his teeth-shattering picks and roof-shaking blocks. That being said, his role on my team will be exactly that, provide about a dozen minutes of rest for Yao Ming (depending on situation of course), and provide interior defence as the anchor against some of the best bigmen in basketball.

The Sacramento Kings

PG: Chris Paul
SG: Clyde Drexler
SF: Tayshaun Prince
PF: Ralph Sampson
C: Hakeem Olajuwon

Bench:
PG: Derek Harper
SG: Raja Bell
SF: Mark Aguirre
PF: P.J. Brown
C: Dale Davis

Centers:
Hakeem Olajuwon

2 Year Peak:
Hakeem's peak in this draft will be 1992-1993 and 1993-1994.

In 1992-1993, Hakeem averaged 26.1 ppg, 4.2 Blk, 1.8stl, 3.5 ast, and 13 rebounds, on 53% FG shooting, and 78% FT shooting. All NBA defensive 1st team, All NBA 1st team, 2nd in MVP voting only to Charles Barkley, Defensive player of the year. This is one of the best seasons of his career, as he was a defensive monster, and arguably the best center in the league at the time.

In 1993-1994, Hakeem averaged 27.3 ppg, 3.7 Blk, 1.6stl, 3.6 ast, and 11.9 rebounds on 53% FG shooting, and 72% FT shooting. All NBA defensive 1st team, All NBA 1st team, 1994 NBA MVP, Defensive Player of the year, and NBA champion.
Dale Davis

1993-1994:
11.7pts, 10.9reb, 1.6blk 52% FG, 52% FT

1994-1995:
10.6pts, 9.4reb, 1.6blk, 1.0stl, 56% FG, 53% FT
Davis will primarily come in for Hakeem, he will give me someone that can just rebound, bang around, and occasionally score while Hakeem is resting.

Power Forwards:

Ralph Sampson

Sampson and Hakeem spent 3 years together, in which 2 were one of Sampson's best. Both formed one of the most dominant front court combos in the league, and were terrific on both the offensive and defensive end. Both are famous for being the underdogs and beating the Showtime Lakers in 5 games, with game 5 being Sampson's best moment in his short NBA career, they fell short though in the finals to the Celtics. But still not even McHale, Parish, and Walton could stop them as the duo was dominant statistically. The only thing they were missing was a perimeter finisher, and this time they have one in Drexler, while having 2 time DPOY and MVP Hakeem. Sampson will be a mismatch for traditional power forwards as he enjoys staying around the perimeter and coming in while attacking the basket.

2 year peak:
1984-1985:
22.1pts, 10.4reb, 1stl, 2blk, 50% shooting.
All NBA 2nd, NBA all star, all star game MVP

1985-1986:
18.7pts, 11reb, 3.6ast, 1.2stl, 1.6blk, on 48% shooting.
NBA all star, Western conference champion

P.J. Brown

PJ Brown is one of the most solid role players to play the game. He is a terrific defender that will come in to bang with the bigger guys and will be there primarily to rebound, defend, and occasionally score the ball. Will most likely come in for starting PF Sampson.
2 year peak:
1996-1997:
9.5pts, 8.6 rebounds, 1.1stl, 1.2blk, 45%, 73% FT
All NBA defensive team 2nd
1997-1998:
9.6pts, 8.6reb, 1stl, 1.3blk, 47%, 76%

Small Forwards:

Tayshaun Prince

One of today's better perimeter defenders, Prince uses his quickness and length to take players out of their comfort zone. Prince is the perfect chemistry player that can do it all, he has no issues what so ever on both ends, and does the little things that change the tempo of the game which help his team win. Prince is also one of the better ball handlers in the league, and he ranks in the bottom of the league in turnovers. Prince will fit perfectly with Paul, Drexler, Sampson, and Hakeem.
2 year peak:
2005-2006:
14.1pts, 2.3 ast, 4.2reb, 0.8stl, 0.5blk, 45%, 35% 3PT, and 75% FT
All NBA defensive 2nd

2006-2007:
14.3pts, 2.8ast, 5.2reb, 0.6stl, 0.7blk, 46%, 38% 3PT, and 76% FT
All NBA defensive 2nd

Mark Aguirre

One of the best SF of his class (King, Dantly, etc.). Scoring was very efficient, and I'm surprised to see him slip this far, he should have been at least a starter in this league.

Unfortunately for his peak I won't be using his prime years where he was an explosive scorer. I'll be using the peak years of:
1988-1989:
18.9ppg, 3.5ast, 4.8reb, 46%, 73% FT
NBA Champion
1989-1990:
14.1pts, 2ast, 3reb, 48%, 75% FT
NBA Champion

Mark will come off the bench to replace Prince, as he will be an efficient low post forward/guard scorer. And will be perfect to open up perimeter players like Drexler, Paul, and even Sampson who likes to hang around the perimeter. He is very efficient as he scored so much in so little attempts.

Shooting Guard:

Clyde Drexler

2 Year Peak:

1990-1991 season:
21.5pts, 6ast, 6.7reb, 1.8stl, 48%FG, 31% 3PT, 80% FT
NBA all star, All NBA 2nd, 6th in MVP voting

1991-1992 season:
25pts, 6.7ast, 6.6reb, 1.8stl, 47% FG, 33%3PT, 80%FT
NBA All star, All NBA 1st, 2nd in MVP voting

Arguably the 2nd best SG in his era, Clyde was mostly overshadowed by Jordan in his prime. Clyde was as good as they come, very underrated today, and if he was playing in this era right now, would probably be if not the best SG, the 2nd best in the league, but this time around he'd get more accomplishments. I’m using his later years with Portland when he carried the team to more success while also being acknowledged for them.

Raja Bell

Raja Bell
2 year peak:
2006-2007:
14.7pts, 3.2ast, 2.5stl, 205 3 points made leading the league, 43% FG, 41% 3PT, 77% FT
All NBA 1st defensive team

2007-2008:
11.9pts, 3.reb, 2ast, 176 3s made, 42% FG, 40% 3PT, 86% FT
All NBA defensive 2nd team
Raja will come off the bench for Clyde, he is one of today’s better defensive stoppers, while also being a terrific 3pt shooter . Raja in 2007 led the league in 3 pointers made, while also shooting at a high percentage behind the arc. Raja also was in the top this past season as he made 176 3pointers while again shooting at a high percentage.

Point Guards:
Chris Paul

One of the better defensive-offensive point guards, Paul has the ability to run a fast break or even go slow and steady in a half court offense. Paul will be the perfect back court mate to Drexler, while his dribble penetration is going to help guys like Sampson on the offensive end, as Paul loves to use his big men!

2 Year Peak:
2006-2007:
17.3pts, 8.9ast, 4.4reb, 1.8stl, 43%, 35%, 81%FT

2007-2008:
21.1pts, 11.6ast, 4reb, 2.7stl, 48%, 36%, 85%FT
All NBA 1st team, NBA all-star, NBA 2nd defensive team, 2nd in MVP voting

combined 2 year average:
19pts, 10ast, 4reb, 2.5stl, 45%, 36%, 83%FT

Derek Harper
Peak:
1988-1989
17.3pts, 7ast, 2.1stl, FG47%, 3PT 35%, FT 80%

1989-1990
18pts, 7.4ast, 2.3stl, FG48%, 3PT 37%, FT 80%
All NBA 2nd defensive team

Harper will become the backup to Chris Paul. Harper off the bench will help guard the bigger sized guards in the league that CP3 will likely have trouble guarding. Harper is an above average 3pt shooter and play maker, which will be perfect to compliment my starters.

1984-85  77  36.2  .488  .310  .790  3.6  10.8  2.2  0.3  20.9

The greatest little man to have ever played the game, a terrific passer and on the court leader. Tough, scrappy player with an attacking nature and one of the best closers to have ever played. Was a menace in the passing lanes and decent in terms of man to man. His primary role on my team will be the primary facilitator, 4th quarter scorer, and just the overall engine that makes my team goes.

SG- Tracy McGrady Image

Season   GM  MIN    FG%   3P%  FT%  REB   AST  STL  BLK   PTS

2002-03  76  39.4  .457  .386  .793  6.5  5.5  1.7  0.8  32.1

My most gifted perimeter scorer, can beat you from the outside or the inside. Over 170's threes and nearly 10 FT attempts per game in 02-03. Underrated all-around game as well, over seven boards per game, and five assists. And when motivated or when the situation arises he's shown he can be a lock down defender (against Dirk, G. Robinson and others) and on my time where he'd carry a lesser offensive role, his defense would be far more consistent, much like Paul Pierce this last season. Basically serves as my do it all player that creates a lot of mis-matches on the offensive end.

SF-Bruce Bowen Image

Code: Select all

Season   GM  MIN    FG%   3P% FT%  REB   AST  STL  BLK   PTS

2005-06  82  33.6  .433  .424  .607  3.9  1.5  1.0  0.4  7.5

One of the top perimeter defenders to have ever played the game. Doesn't demand a lot of shots and is a true professional. None of his stats will make your eyes pop, hell they'll fool you into thinking he's a scrub, but his defensive instincts, IQ and man to man defense you won't find many better. Not to mention he's a terrific three point shooter (as shown above over 40% from three) especially from his patent corner spot.

PF-Charles Oakley Image

Season   GM  MIN    FG%   3P%  FT%  REB   AST  STL  BLK   PTS

1990-91  82  36.0  .516  .000  .784  12.1  2.7  0.8  0.2  11.2

Quick, one word that describes Oakley? Enforcer. That's exactly what he was, he didn't block shots or get many steals, but he intimidated anybody that drove into the lane as much as any great shot-blocker. A terrific rebounder (especially on the offensive glass) and a great man to man defender. Solid offensive game as well for another one of those players that didn't demand alot of shots. Nearly 12-14 points per game on over 50%. Not to mention he's shown he's a terrific fit next to Ewing to make one real intimidating frontline. It's not a coincidence I'm using the same prime years for both Oakley and Ewing. ;)

One of the most underrated players to have ever played the game. An absolute monster on both ends of the floor and unfairly judged because of his peers in Hakeem and D-Rob. He was a prolific scorer, rebounder and shot-blocker. Sure he didn't win a championship, but it wasn't his fault he ran into Jordan who also crushed the hearts of other greats like Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Drexler Payton, Kemp, KJ and many others (even Magic one season). Jordan's quote perfectly sums it up IMO.

"He has a heart of a champion. When you thought about New York, you thought of Patrick Ewing. He came and gave life back into the city."
-----Michael Jordan

For a guy that averaged 27/11, anchored terrific defensive teams and turned the Knicks into perennial Eastern conference powers despite not having as much offensive talent as other teams he surely gets way too disrespected for a sure fire hall of famer. He's one of the best to have ever played the game.

Though I'm not using his most prolific years, I feel these years that I am using would be more beneficial to my team. He was 6th man of the year and still regarded as a feisty defender, not to mention he was more efficient from beyond the three point line especially considering the volume of three's he made in both of those seasons. Why did I choose him at PG? Well he'd always be on the floor with either Mac or Isiah, so his lack of play-making wouldn't be too much of an issue, but his main asset to this team will be a big PG that can knock down the three and play some terrific man defense.

My main man weapon off the bench. A terrific two way player with a great all around game and superb efficiency. Extremely unselfish and will do anything to win (as shown by him accepting to come off the bench and win 6th man of the year). What I like about him besides the efficiency and solid play on both ends is the guy is a true winner. Has been a winner on all levels and a big time playoff performer and 4th quarter player.

Disregard the statistics with this guy. He's my 10th man and will likely play under 5 minutes for me, but guess where those five minutes will be. ;) He's a solid defender, good on rotations, over a block and steal per game, a great post passer and creates mis-matches on the offensive end with his range and height. But forget all that, the guy has ice in his veins and isn't called Big Shot Bob for nothing. One word describes Horry, a champion.

PF: Tim 'Big Fundamental' Duncan
C: Dwight 'Superman' Howard

Bench:

C: Brad Miller
PF: Larry Nance
SF: James Posey
SG: Dan Majerle
PG: Johnny Moore

Player Analysis:

Micheal Richardson:

Richardson's career is nothing special. He was a drug addict who ultimately let drugs get the best of him. However, despite all that, he was an incredible talent. Richardson was a top level perimeter defender, who picked plenty of passing lanes and players pockets throughout his career. He also had very good lateral quickness and had great size and strength to defend the PG position.

Richardson was also a great offensive player. When he scored, he was efficient. He was an exceptional playmaker. Made passes that resembled those of Magic Johnson's. He could shoot the ball, finish at the bucket or post you up. Oh yeah -- He was a big time playoff performer. I'm still considering the years I'm going to use him for, as I may sacrafice is all defensive team accolades for his big time playoff years, where he single hadidly beat the defending champion Sixers who had Malone and Dr. J on their squad. Truly a special player who's career could have been glamorized if he had kept his head on straight.

Reggie Miller:

When Warspite said the playoff format would be NCAA style one and done, the first player that came to my mind was Reggie. This guy was clutch. The bigger the stage, the bigger the performance from Reggie. He was an assassin on the court. Very efficient scorer who can spread the floor, give us leadership, and bring a competitive culture to the team.

Shawn Marion:

Shawn Marion is an exceptional athlete. He plays well above the rim. He is a very very good defender. He can block shots, and create turnovers by getting steals. His rebounding is almost unmatched by any SFs of this era. He's got a great rebound rate, and averaged over 11 a game during his peak. He gets virtually all his buckets by cutting to the bucket, spotting up for 3s, or getting put back dunks off missed shots. You never have to run a play for him, and he does not need to have the ball to be effective. This is why he is ideal for this league. He can produce in the flow of the game. There are too many good players on the same team. The common problem is that all of them need the ONE ball to be effective.

Tim Duncan:

What can we say about arguably the greatest PF of all time that we all don't already know? Tim is a great defensive anchor, and offensive player. He is so crafty around the bucket, and understands angles better than anyone currently playing. He's not into being flashy, but rather just putting the ball in the bucket, and preventing others from doing the same thing. In this league he gets two MVPs and a Finals MVP. He is the captain of our team and the heart and sole too. His leadership skills should rub off well on the rest of the team.

Dwight Howard:

Howard is the strongest player on my team, and probably one of the strongest players in this game. His athleticism has never EVER been matched by anyone with his size and weight. He can do things that nobody has ever done, and makes plays that only a handful of players to ever play the game can make. Pairing him with Tim Duncan will prove to be a nightmare for other teams front courts. He's a great help defender, good shot blocker, and phenomenal rebounder. He is pretty raw when it comes to passing and post moves, but his rebounding is already at an elite level. If he gets the ball within dunking distance, good luck trying to stop him. With teams having to put so much attention on Duncan, it's going to open things up a lot for Howard, making him a real force to be reckoned with.

WASHINGTON BULLETS ATL MEDIA GUIDE

The Washington Bullets are built around spectacular defense and efficient scoring.
We rely on defensive pressure from all-time greats Gary Payton on the opponent's
ballhandler and Scottie Pippen locking down the primary wing scorer. Inside, Artis
Gilmore, Elton Brand, and Bill Walton all provide high quality man defense plus each
averages around 2.5 bl/36min (2.6/2.4/2.8 respectively)! The freedom this provides
lets Payton, Mullin, and Pippen all play more aggressively and ballhawk to start our
fast break offense.

We run frequently and well with great ballhandlers and passers in Payton, Mulllin
and Pippen being fed by our good rebounding and good passing bigs or taking off
after steals. When we go to our halfcourt offense, we focus on working the ball in
to Artis Gilmore who is playing off the two most efficient scoring years in the history
of the NBA (.702 and .699 ts% on a straight FG% of .661) or finding the open man when
they double. Both our guards are excellent 3 point shooters (.358/.346), Pippen has
excellent range too. All of our starters are efficient scorers with 4 of them averaging
over .520 from the field! and only Gary Payton under .500. And, sending us to the line
is asking for trouble with our worst free throw shooter being Scottie Pippen at just
over .700!

With our outside stars capable of playing 38+ minutes a game and our inside stars both
playing around 35min, only Bill Walton gets consistent time as our 6th man, averaging
about 22 minutes a game. OF course he was arguably the greatest bench player of all
time in his one season off the bench in Boston, actually improving the team's offense
despite subbing for one of their 3 HOF frontliners. An efficient scorer, great rebounder
and defender, and the greatest passing big of all time, he's the key to our bench. Our
other bench members come in for quick burst energy or matchups. Fat Lever got more
triple doubles than any player not named Magic while adding All-D nominations and good
3 point shooting. He provides an extra defensive stopper at guard. His backcourt mate,
Byron Scott, is one of the great 3 point shooters in history. At forward, Larry "Grandmama"
Johnson is also a high energy 20/10 explosive player at either forward spot, while Jamaal
"Silk" Wilkes adds smooth shooting, All-NBA defense, and a history of winning NBA Champion-
ships.

Brief Comments:

In terms of how I'm using players and reducing team shots to a high but realistic level (90-91 shots per game), the statistical breakdown looks like this. All averages are per 82 games. When individual shot totals are reduced, assists are reduced by the same percentage.

The Tropics are a well balanced team that relies on the inside scoring of King and the outside shooting of Dale Ellis. DRob 12rpg Willis 14rpg and Laimbeer 12rpg form a dominating reb trio that triggers the fast break in which Kidd, King, and DRob can run the lanes and work there magic in the open court. Even if the fast break is stifled the tropics will use the oppertunity for early offense and to exploit mismatches.

the Tropics on defense have DRob 4.0 BPG and Jason Kidd (all def 1st team) to guard the post and the PG. The Tropics are also one of the tallest teams in the ATL with a starting lineup of
6'4" 6'7" 6'7" 7'0" 7'1"

the Tropics bench consists of grity High basketball IQ players that are future coaches/TV analysts. Ainge, Rivers, Laimbeer, are very successfull coaches and Dantley/Chambers are color analysts. The Tropics are also very proud and honored to have a HoFer coming off the bench and making sure the offense continues regardless of Kings status.

the Tropics are a well oiled machine that shoots a very high FG% and plays physical defense useing strength, quickness and height.
