02 Lakers in 5. The 08 Lakers looked really soft in the finals.

In a 7 game series, 02 Lakers would win in 6. Shaq was just too dominant.

With bynum, the 08 lakers get a little help, because if there's no bynum, and gasol has to cover shaq, he's going to get destroyed. With Bynum, well.....at least gasol won't foul out of every game. lol
02 lakers in 5 or 6. 08 couldn't handle the physicalness of brown, garnett, and perkins. Even with bynum, they're at too much of a disadvantage in the middle against the most physical player ever.

I think a better question would have been the '08 Celtics vs the '02 Lakers considering this years Celtics would have the homecourt.

If that is the case then the NBA as a whole was miserable this year.

Yea, but the 02 kobe doesn't have to be better than the 08 version. He just needs to be better than odom, gasol, or bynum, depending on who you think the 08 lakers number 2 guy would be in the matchup.

That didn't make sense, because even if 08 Lakers have the Kobe of today they won't stop Shaq, just to damn dominant, especially in his prime.

IMO his absolute prime was 2000. I remember that season...that was the year he was completely healthy and actually raped Post Defenders. I think Rik Smits's bright red ass is still bleeding from those finals.
