So far, Andrea has not shown the work ethic needed to fulfill his #1 overall pick promise, so I'd rather have Yi, but who knows, Yi may suffer a similar fate, at least he wasnt drafted over people like Brandon Roy and Rudy Gay :(

Yeah, too many Yi vs Bargnani threads. I'll take Yi, but they both have been pretty bad.

Yi i think. Neither of them seem to have the fire inside them to get better though.

If you just based this on each players 1st season you might pick Bargs...but unfortunately he has that Sophmore slump working against him. For all we know he could bounce back and Yi could hit that wall. Tough to say with young bigs.

I guess I'll take Yi if for no other reason than I don't know if he's soft or not. I know Bargs is lol

Unlike a lot of people, I like YI A LOT he's was unhappy in Milwaukee and didn't try hard for them.

Yi by a pretty huge margin. He was an amazing skillset that he didn't get the chance to demonstrate in Milwaukee. It's just a matter of adapting to the NBA game.

He'll be a 16/8 player. At least. Bargnani may not even be in the league in a few years.

lol

Bargnani's been a rookie of the month twice, finished 2nd in roy voting in a land slide, and was his teams best player in games 4,5 and 6 during the playoffs.

...Yi didn't do squat in his rookie year, except get traded.

Bargnani hit rock bottom last season, but even then was better than Yi in almost everything across the board outside rebounding and field goal percentage (technically even Bargnani beats him in that, shooting a better TS and eFG %).

That's stupid. Why would Yi pruposely play bad and allow himself to be embarrassed out there on the floor just because he doesn't like playing in Milwaukee? Yi would only be hurting himself and his NBA career. It's not a job where you are locked in a factory or office and no one gets to see your lazy ass. Being an NBA player (athlete in general), you are being watched by millions of people. In Yi's case, billions of people.

As a proven star player, you might be able to get away with it and not have it affect your career moving forward. However, for a young rookie player, you gotta play hard every single time until you prove yourself. Otherwise, you're going to be out of the league in no time.

Bargnani is one of the softest lottery picks of ALL TIME... Yi hasn't hit that level (yet).
