before the fiba game i would have said sammy by a mile.
Why did rasho make him look so silly. Is fiba rules with the trapezoid key a lot harder for big dudes?
daly got blocked 3 times....looked like a deer in headlights....

thats because Dalembert thinks hes the franchise player on the Canadian team, he had some teamwork issues in that game and thats why he was cut/released yesterday

Rasho's deceiving, dude's got skills. He's a savvy vet and plays great D. Sammy D just needs more experience which he'll have to gain in the league.

Dalembert is better than Rasho.
Think of it this way. Dalembert is playing on the Canadian National Team, with teammates he's literally played in a handful of games with.
You cannot synthesize a real game experience.
Rasho has been playing with Slovenia for years already. Same core of players for years together, and probably grew up playing together too.
To top that off, it's just one game too. Dalembert could have had an off day. His dispute with Team Canada, nobody really knows what actually happened. Obviously he and the team did not see eye to eye on the same basketball philosophies, and that's why he was taken off the team. I really think that has nothing to do with how good of a player he is, because he's definitely a desired player in the league where it actually matters for him.
Lets get real, Dalembert isn't even really a Canadian. Becky Hammond is more Russian than he is Canadian.

Rasho was awesome for us in March and April averaging great numbers, but Dalembert wins this one.

Fluke game. Dalembert is the superior player by no small margin. The stats tell the entire story.

07-08 season "per 36 minutes" stats
Dalembert: 11.4ppg, 11.2rpg, 0.6apg, 2.5bpg, 2.0 tpg, 51.3% FG
Nesterovic: 13.4ppg, 8.3 rpg, 2apg, 1.3 bpg, 1.5tpg, 55% FG
don't underestimate Rasho

Dalembert..
but I think Rasho makes less mistakes, like I'd trust him more late game than Dalembert.

I'd trade Rasho for Sammy in a heartbeat but Rasho is chronically underestimated.
Rasho is pretty darn good despite his lack of athleticism. He's money from mid-range, savvy and experienced.
Sammy is kinda thick but he's athletic as can be for his size. When he gets older I bet his effectiveness drops considerably unless he wisens up some.
PS- to the guy who says Daly isn't even Canadian, he spent most of his youth in Montreal. That counts enough for me. I hope he gets his head out of his a$$ and rejoins team Canada when Rautins is fired.

I'd say Dalembert is a better player, but I'll take Rasho on my team..
Dalembert improved this year, but he's still a very low-IQ basketball player..he has a poor attitude..IIRC he complained about his role offensively, even when Philly was on their winning streak..there's no denying his athleticism is a lot better than Rasho's, but I'd still take Rasho's offensive game..better shooter, better passer, much smarter player..while Dalmbert is worlds ahead as a help defender, Rasho is a good man defender, which is good enough for me..
Dalembert is better, but I can't stand low-IQ basketball players with poor attitudes..
