I would like to see Lakers and Clippers do battle in the playoffs. I think that it would be kewl to see these two team go at in a playoff series.

SF:Odom Vs. Davis or Thorton
PF:Gasol Vs. Camby
C:Bynum Vs. Kaman
SG:Bryant Vs. Mobley
PG:Fisher Vs. Davis

I woulds say Lakers in 6 games

Kobe would Pwn Mobley in a 7-game series

It would've happened in '06 had the Lakers not lost to the suns from being up 3-1. I was really looking forward to that series too..

At least the Lakers and Clippers will play against each other opening night. It should be fun although I'm not counting on a win. It's way too early to tell how good the new-look Clippers will be.

The Bryant/Mobley match up is quite a problem. Lakers would sweep.

Then what was the point of this thread? Lakers are better than Clippers? Um, duh.

Getting swept in 4 games is not much of a battle is it?

the Davis-Fisher matchup is almost as lopsided as the Kobe-Mobley.

I agree. Dumb thread. And shouldn't this be in Player comparisons?

Fisher's defense on Davis>>Mobley's defense on Kobe

I recall Bynum completely owning Kaman earlier this season and I would expect that to continue. Camby is a very good help defender but his man defense is solid at best and Pau's length would be too much for him. Lamar's experience would have Al as well. The Lakers are also deeper.

I didn't really want this to turn out this way. I was saying that it could be fun to see these two teams do battle

I don't know which game you were watching but Bynum only played against the Clippers once and scored 14/9. Kaman had 18/16 albeit on 6/19 shooting. It wasn't that lopsided. We'll find out opening night.

Whenever the Clippers and Lakers play, Mobley rarely guards Kobe. Instead, he guards Odom. So that means you'll probably seeing Thornton guard Kobe, rather than Mobley.

The thread should have been between the LA Sparks or the LA Clippers then it might have gotten a bigger audience.

This is a complete derail already but what were kamans stats when bynum was on the floor. IIRC he started 0-7 but i dont know the whole statline. He also got blocked what like 3 times.
