We often talk about who the best pure PG passers are, and we get into debate about CP3, Deron, Nash...etc... But what about the best passers at other positions (in the league currently)?
Here's my list:
PG
1. CP3
2. D-Will
3. Nash
SG.
1. Iverson
2. Wade
3. Roy
If you don't accept AI as an SG, then it would go Wade, Roy, Kobe.
SF
1. LeBron
2. T-Mac
3. Pierce
PF:
1. Diaw
2. Dirk
3. KG
C:
1. Shaq (obviousy his numbers are down, but he's always been a really good passer).
2. Duncan
3. Brad Miller

Is this list ordered? Because KG is clearly better as a passer than Dirk and Diaw both.

lol , KG is a better passer at the PF. And yes, Kobe is underated as a passer. He has great vision and dishes nearly 6 dimes a game.

Last season Diaw had the most assists, the best AST/TO ratio of all PF's, and played 5 less minutes than KG and 8 less than Dirk, and has been praised widely for his passing skills at the PF position.
Dirk and KG can be debatable. I could easily see:
Diaw
KG
Dirk

If you are going by stats. Under this assumption, Miller should be #1 under the centers. He had the most assists than all the centers.

Nash is still the best passer in the league,

Which is why I was suprised to see 82games.com has him making about 200 bad passes. Most of his turnovers came from bad passes rather than ball handling turnovers or offensive fouls. This is also probably why he is at the top of the turnover list for point guards. I do consider him a good passer though. Jason Kidd is still a relatively good passer at the pg position as well.

what are we judging by here? being an efficient passer isn't the same as being a great passer..being efficient also depends on your teammates and certain situations..

Nash made that many bad passes because he's willing to make the very risky pass. Guys like Billups & Calderon are very good passers but don't try for the extraordinary pass and therefore have v high A-TO ratios.

Lebron leads the league in scoring and averages like 7 or 8 assists a night hes the man!

Dirk and KG can be debatable.
KG is the significantly better passer compared to Dirk.

Jason Kidd is the best passer and it's not that close IMO, he dishes out assists at an elite rate with no threat to score or draw double teams at all. He's the elite passer, and has the best floor vision since Magic, he's truly special there.
1) Jason Kidd
2) Chris Paul
I'm having a hard time placing a number 3, it's hard for me to distinguish guys like Williams and Nash, I don't see them as truly special playmakers like the top two. I think I'll go Nash Slightly...
For Shooting guards, the passers I have are combo guards sorta...
Iverson
Wade
Roy
Small Forwards was pretty easy. The third SF was difficult, most of the guys I wanted to put their are playing more 4 now...
Bron
Tmac
Hedo?
The 4's are easy.
Garnett
Odom
Diaw
Centers...
Shaq
Duncan
Brad Miller
Harder to rank the bigs by position, probably would be easier to rank them as best low post, or best high post passers.

PG-Nash, Kidd, Paul
SG-Roy, T-Mac, Wade
SF-LeBron, Luke Walton, Grant Hill
PF-KG, Diaw, Odom or Duncan
C-Brad Miller, Nikola Vujcic(recorded the only triple double in the Euroleague history), Fabrizio Oberto(I know he's only averaging 1.2 ast. per game but it's because he rarely gets the ball. He was the best passer big man when he was in Euro)

I can't believe Andre Iguodala hasn't be mentioned yet. He's an excellent passer, in fact one of the most versatile players in the league. He averaged above 5.7 assists two years ago, and 4.8 last year when there was no one else who could score.
I wouldn't be surprised if he averages 6+ assists this year. He's definitely in the top 3 at the SG or SF position...

My list would go like this
PG
Nash
Paul (Even though paul has higher assists I still believe Nash is the better passer, Paul surpasses him without a doubt next year)
Williams
SG
Iverson
Wade
Joe Johnson
SF
LeBron
McGrady
Igoudala (Who'll be moving to SG this year, and is a better passer than Brandon Roy)
PF
Garnett
Odom
Diaw
C
Shaq
Duncan
Brad Miller

If t-mac counts a SF.
Vince Carter is a MUCH better passer than paul pierce. VC even played PG many times for the nets.
iggy and joe johnson also deserve to be in the running.

Jason Kidd and Steve Nash will be the two best passers in the NBA until they retire.
The best passing big man is Kevin Love. Yes, I know he hasn't played a single NBA game yet. I don't care.

More assists doesn't always mean the best passer.
Take Wade and LeBron for example, they might not lead the league in assists, but they are 2 of the best passing swingmen in the league. The routinely place their teammates in a position to succeed with passes no one even thought could be made, but they do.
