Chris Duhon, Quietly the 2nd Best PG in the East?

Post#1 » by vincecarter4pres » Thu Dec 11, 2008 12:10 am

He is certainly making a case for it.
He is putting up very nice numbers.
He is a very good defender.
He is putting up massive career highs across the board, even including FG%, FT% and 3pt%
His assist to TO ration is solid as well. 3-1.

I know he is in D'Antonis system, but you can't just ignore what he is doing.

And yes he has been playing ridiculous minutes since the trades, but he has handled it very well.

The Knicks record is so-so at 9-12, but they weren't expected to do much, almost exceeding expectations and they have played very short handed because of a combo of trades, injuries, Krispy Kremes and Haldol.

I think I would rather have him on my team over Calderon and his contract is really good.

Thoughts?

What about Harris and Rose? They're both better then Duhon. Also: AI, Rondo, Calderon, and Mo williams should be thrown into the mix. (I feel like im missing someone?) Duhon is playing great, but second best PG? Eh, that's probably a stretch.
Im pretty freakin awesome........

He's doing awesome, but I have to be a homer and say no way, just due to Rondos out of this world play so far. I know he gets a bad rap because of everyone hating Boston right now, but he really is growing into something special.

I'd say he's the 4th. Harris, Rose, Rondo. Calderon's offense is better, and his playmaking is at least as good, but he's also quite possibly the worst defensive starting pg in the league, whereas Duhon's quite good on D.

Still, 4th is much better than I ever thought he had in him, and Knicks fans have to be happy with what he's turned into.

I forgot about Rose.

OK, 3rd best is more appropriate.

1Harris
2Rose
3Duhon
4Rondo or Calderon
6TJ Ford
7Mo Williams
8Bibby

AI is a SG and if he is supposed to be a point, he is currently way down that list.

Duhon is the product of a system

I would take Jameer Nelson over him, and most EAST PG's right now
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

He's putting up inflated stats on a dreadful team. I'm a Warriors fan, so I would know

Duhon is nothing more than a backup point guard on a good team.

Sure, he'd just put up hollow numbers like Duhon is now.

He's being seriously overrated here. It's pretty easy to put up career highs when your career numbers are so low.

Harris, Rondo, Rose, Mo Will, Andre Miller, Bibby, Harris, and Calderon are all better. They are all putting up better numbers on better teams.

Not even the 3rd best. He's not even in the top 10 in the east. I'll take D. Rose, D. Harris, Gilbert Arenas, M. Bibby, A. Iverson, A. Miller, J. Calderon, TJ Ford, M. Williams, R. Rondo over Duhon

This guy plays 40+ minutes per game and his assist numbers are inflated big time because of this system.

Did Devin Harris, M Williams, M Bibby, M Chalmers, J Calderon, D Rose fall off the face of this earth?

um, chris duhon is legit
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

1. Harris
2. Iverson
3. Rose
4. Rondo
5. Calderon
6. Bibby
7. A. Miller
8. M Williams
9 Ford
10. Sessions
11. Nelson
12. Hinrich
13. Duhon or N. Robinson

Obviously Arenas would be up there if healthy.
