James White is a phenomenal dunker but can he dunk under duress? Let's see him dunk when then lights are on and when it's actually meaningul.

I agree, home court plays a very important role in every discussion, did you know Gasol has never lost a series with home court advantage? Gasol > Kobe.

Anyways, James White is pretty good, but I think Michael comes out on top pretty easily.

It's all about the judges Jordan would win because they would be in his pocket. Look how James White got robbed in HS with the homo judge giving him a 6 for jumping from the FT line with a 2 hand jam.

I'd say impartial judges and White wins easy, especially since he would do things you wouldn't think of with the Nate Robinson rule in the dunk contest.

James White is the better dunk contest dunker and I don't know how people can say differently. Not to say that Jordan's dunking ability isn't elite, but James White has done things I have never seen another person do. Even when he was in the Mcdonalds All American dunk contest I was simply amazed at how good he was and it was a joke that David Lee won it.

In a dunk contest? Obviously James White, assuming unbiased judges/voters. The guy can pull between-the-legs FT-line dunks, windmill FT-line dunks, etc. MJ couldn't come close to that.

But in a real game? MJ by a ridiculous margin. In game dunking is all about being able to actually get to the rim, and MJ is 1000 times the slasher that James White is.

Jordan is a very overrated dunker. It was nice for his era, but players today like Vince, Dwight, and White dunk the ball with more power and finese.

Jordan is the GOAT player. But he's not the GOAT dunker.

It's ok to admit Jordan isn't the best at everything guys. Jordan dunks from FT line in dunk contest - James White goes between his legs from FT line in dunk contest. Come on now.

In-game it's Jordan, dunk contest it's White.
