Tough... Barkley is one of the (if not the) greatest offensive players, but I'm a firm believer in dominant two way center impact >>>> all. I'll go with Ewing.
Ettore Messina says all he needs is a point guard, a defensive stopper, a scorer, and a center.

Raptors draft board:
Ricky Rubio (the PG)
Gerald Henderson (the defensive stopper)
Hasheem Thabeet (the center)

It's time to fill the holes

Slight edge to Ewing. Guys like Barkley tend to become slightly less effective if you surround them with more talent.

Ehh...even the 90s Sixers were very good, until they ran into Jordan's Bulls, and Charles did average 25PPG on 60%/12REB/4AST, which isn't really that bad, it's more or so fantastic.

What? In 92-93 when they reached the finals, he averaged nearly two more points per game from the previous season, his highest rebound per game total in over four seasons, and averaged a career high in assists, his efficiency took a slight hit, but he was still nearly 53% from the floor. And besides when a star that's accustomed to leading their team with a lesser supporting cast, get a good supporting cast, their stats are bound to worsen due to having better help, but their IMPACT remains the same, see Kobe.

As for the topic, I too would take Ewing, I think his impact on both ends, especially the defensive end is the deciding factor. Those Knicks teams anchored by Ewing were nasty good for nearly a whole decade.

The early 90's the Sixers were good. Mainly 1990 and 1991.
