I think Yao has slightly more impact than Roy (Roy is great, but Yao demands a double every time he catches the ball in the post), but I honestly believe that TMac is now a NEGATIVE contributor - he makes zero hustle plays, he no longer plays defense, he throws off the team's chemistry by being in and out of the lineup, and he's just so horribly inefficient while also being pretty ball dominant. Von Wafer was honestly better than TMac last season, and I see no reason to expect TMac to improve out of nowhere when he's been steadily declining every year for the past few years. I'm not even an Aldridge fan, but I like what he brings far more than TMac. Add in Yao and TMac's injury history, and the fact the Yao and TMac are likely to decline while Roy and Aldridge are likely to improve, and I'd take Roy/Aldridge quite easily for next season only.

Definitely a tough call as ponder just pointed out. Another thing to consider is Oden. If Oden can improve his game this season, then I take the Blazer pair and don't think twice about it. If Oden is foul prone again, then I probably lean towards Yao. It's been so long since I've seen T-Mac play, I kinda forget what he brings.

The choice is pretty easy because of injuries.

LMA and Roy. Don't worry about what Yao/TMac can do.

Just hope we beat you again in the playoffs...

This should more accurately be Yao/Artest because they are clearly the 1-2 combo now. Artest shot 40% from the 3 this year. He plays the post-repost game with Yao better than T-mac ever did.

I'll take Roy/Aldridge.
Yao probably has the most impact, but Roy is fairly close behind. And Aldridge at this point has a much bigger impact than T-Mac.

But yeah, a better comparison would be Roy/Aldridge or Yao/Artest.

Health over starpower by a landslide.

Aldridge and Roy easily. I don't think TMac will ever be an elite player again. Factor in the injury history of Yao and TMac, and the youth of Roy and LMA and I don't think it's that tough a call.

If everyone is fully healthy, I'll take Yao/TMac, but that's never happened.

Yao beat Roy/Aldridge by himself. So I pick Yao/Tmac.

Although Yao was huge the Rockets beat the Blazers on a team effort. Rockets aren't a 2 man team like they were before.
