Utah breakdown
Kyle Korver $5,155,115
Ronnie Brewer $2,717,161
-FOR-
Keyon Dooling 3,564,000
Chris Douglas-Roberts 736,420
Sam Young 824,2000
Denver 1st rounder
$3,000,000

Jazz main objective in this trade to save money. This way they save about 3 million in the luxury tax and the other 3 million dollars goes towards the buyout of Keyon Dooling. They receive a few young players, but they are an obvious downgrade.

Memphis breakdown
Sam Young 824,2000
Denver 1st rounder
-FOR-
Ronnie Brewer $2,717,161

Brewer is an obvious upgrade.

New Jersey breakdown
Keyon Dooling 3,564,000
Chris Douglas-Roberts 736,420
$3,000,000
-FOR-
Kyle Korver $5,155,115

Nets receive a useful shooter, but that's not why they do it. This gives them $4,300,000 in extra cap space next season.

Wrong board, but...

Dooling has a partially guaranteed contract in 2010, to the tune of 500K. This doesn't save NJ a substantial amount of money and we lose a prospect for nothing.

I am not opposed to trading CDR and Dooling, but it must provide a long term upgrade.
Korver is resignable, but he will likely cost more then what he is worth in relation to NJ's plans and truthfully he is likely to be an available FA in the offseason for nothing more then money.
