Hope Trae was watching from his couch. Also think that JC and DH might be thinking about their production/effort watching the baby Hawks out play them

What surprises me is that Trae always said he was a fan of Nash game, but it feels sometimes like he's more focused on the 30/10 games all-time record than winning first.
It's the ORL game that made me think that: once at 15/10, it was like "OK, I have my 10ast, it's time now to get the 30pts" as he was 30/11 later in the game, before adding 3 more AST to finish the game, like "OK, I have my 30pts, I can pass the ball again"

This team really needs him more at 20/15 than at 30/10, he still would be responsible of 50pts or more, but the impact of the team would be better
Just stop the stupid shots and share the ball instead on these plays, and he's at 20/15 average easily

Yeah. Dude could go down as the greatest assist man of all time if shifted his primary focus to playmaking for 3 quarters a game. The fact he's been top-5 in APG for so many years is amazing. But the fact he hasn't jumped to #1 in assists per game yet is a reflection of his tendency to simply takeover games as a scorer...even when it isn't in the team's best interest.

Very good win no matter how you slice it. However, Den is a very poor defensive team. Controlling the boards and taking advantage of their 26th def rating they are very beatable.

I just hope that Trae can have a wake up call and understand the talent on this team. Also that he can be viewed as just as good a player scoring a little less, assisting more and winning a lot more

So much tendancy to compare Trae and Luka. Size aside, they have a lot of similarities in their ball dominate tendencies. Difference is that Trae has a very solid team. I think a team that has enough talent to contend. All depends on Trae and his maturity and priorities

But there is something we should not miss: he started to play this level very young, so it's not easy to decide by yourself at this age what's best for the team to win. It's not his responsibility only to understand that, it's the coach job also, and I don't think that Nate is teaching him the right way to win.

I agree but I would add that he should score first in the second or third quarter, more than in the fourth.
Opponents would have to deal with his passing, trying to adjust to that, then he scores more, they have to change their defense, and then switching back to passing first and just taking shots that the game is offering instead of trying hero ball.
It would help having these bad 4th quarter we saw, where ball is not moving, players are not moving,...

For Jokic's sake I hope Denver's front office gets serious about adding reliable talent around him.
