Is a Trae for Brown swap an ACTUAL possibility?

Post#1 » by dlb731 » Fri Apr 14, 2023 7:29 pm

I keep going through different trades in my mind, and one that always comes back up is Atlanta trading to bring in Jaylen Brown. With the recent rumblings of Trae trade talks, I ask the questions...

A). Is it possible that the Hawks and Celtics could do a swap of both players (plus a small salary match to get within legality)? What other assets would need to be included?

B) if the Celtics don't want Trae, What other third team could be included to trade him to, and what assets from that team would the Celtics prefer?

It's possible, particularly if each player requests to move on from their current team.

I'm not convinced it's in our favor to do so.

JB is a secondary scorer. A great one at that. But not a #1 option offense.

I'd much rather pair these players together somehow.

I don't see Brown as a number 1option

Brown's not a #1.
I'd like to see if we can find a legit star talent at the 3, 4, or 5, before we trade Trae Young.

Our main problem at 3,4, 5 is their inability to provide any ballhanding and/or real playmaking from these spots.
If Dre was a true lock down defender and hitting his 3s consistently that alone would boost that trio.

I completely agree. They rely on Trae to create for them at all times. We must fix the frontcourt this off-season.
