Davis Bertans is basically only productive if he's making his three pointers. Jason Kidd based his playing time on Bertan entering the game and having him shoot off some quick threes. If he made them he would play the next game but if he missed his playing time became very inconsistent. Here are some key details regarding his contract.

I agree.

However there are some people on realgm who believe that Bertans isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be, ignoring the fact that you literally can't play him a percentage of games if you want the salary savings. He isn't a piece that you can count on to contribute anything meaningful, yet some thing he still is.

Due to the amount his contract is I'm fine if our front office looks a certain way if he excels on another team. This contract must be moved if we're not going to use John Collins properly.

The contract just needs to be moved period. 25 million for a player who's best offense is PnR lobs and doesn't play elite defense is just a waste of resources. He simply doesn't impact the game.
