But talent wise, that is not a championship caliber starting 5.
It will all come down to coaching and fit...which might be asking a lot.

Can't say I disagree. That's why I find it strange when I hear the talking heads say if Trae doesn't win with the group....Yada yada yada.
All I can say is we have a better roster in terms of fit than least season (on paper), we have more length and more versatile players.
If Trae can't win with this group he needs to go. It's rather simple unless you want to continue to not hold Trae accountable.

He needs to raise the level of his game as much as anybody else on the team. He is a walking mistake and it overshadows the good he does. Which is why he is never an automatic all-star and needs to be added to the team as a replacment.

If Jalen stays healthy and Zacch is used properly our frontcourt should be fine.

I expect Dyson Daniels to be similar to last season but to be a better shooter.

Maybe this season Quin has been informed that it's not a development year. Last year he said on sports talk radio 680 the fan that he was told it's all about developing. Landry Fields no longer being on the team has been a blessing.

If Jalen....
If Zacc....
If Dyson...
We can also add 'If Porzingas' as well
.....but sure.
And as much as he turns the ball over individually (and yes he needs to be better), the Hawks as a team turn it over more when he's off the floor.

Have these guys developed sufficiently from a consistency and availability standpoint for their impact to lead to wins though?
I'm still waiting for someone to be CONSISTENT and AVAILABLE to level up so that the weight of the offense doesn't fall to the littlest guy.

I personally hope OO can be a 4/5 for us.
I looking forward to seeing OO and KP on the floor together at times. KP can go outside on offense and OO man inside. It will open things up.

I definitely believe the plan is to run plenty of lineups with both Kristaps and Onyeka on the floor together.

I just hope they stay healthy enough for it to benefit us.

NOTE: I'm even interested in a big closing lineup with all of

C-Porzingis
PF-Okongwu
SF-Jalen
SG-Dyson
PG-Trae

With Jalen playing SF on defense and Porzingis playing SF on offense as a floor spacer.
It won't work against every opponent, but it could cause some serious mismatches in the right matchups. (OKC, Miami, NYK)
