1. Agreed.

2. Is there any NBA Plyer you'd consider moving the pick for today?

2b. I think the top-3 in this draft class might be a tad overrated.

The idea of trading that pick is idiotic

Nah. We've seen dozens of can't miss prospects over the past decade turn out to be mediocre or even outright bad NBA players.

Have we?

Wiggins, Bogut, Wall, and Zion were considered gen talents but just turned out to be mid

Dwight, AD, Ant Man, Kyrie were all considered to be in weak drafts but ended up being better than expected.

Only Oden, and Ben Simmons were considered to be gen talents but ended up being total busts.

Zion and Wall, sure they didn't live up to expectations but the others? No one saw Bogut as a future superstar and a lot of people had doubts on Parker and Wiggins. Embiid was the one if healthy was going 1st overall.

Dwight, AD, Ant Man and Kyrie all had exceptional hopes upside wise.

Simmons was a top 10 player in his prime. How was he a bust?

I remember the Bogut hype was real. They called him the next Duncan. Elite defense with a jump shot. Bucks were not thinking about any other player but Bogut, not even CP3 or Deron.

Have you even seen Ben Simmons????? Not only is he so bad, but he is a locker room cancer! LOL

Zion and Wall are not elite, but both are solid NBA starters. So if you get labeled a gen talent, you can either be Lebron or just a solid starter like Wall. But if you have health issues or mental health issues, then you will turn into a bust like Simmons.

No. He wasn't.

Ben Simmons was named to a single All NBA Team in his entire career.
He was averaging 7 ppg in his age 26 season.
He was out of the league at age 29.

He had a great start to his career but was effectively useless before he hit his NBA prime.

Larger point: It's at least worth considering using a future pick to acquire a First Ballot Hall of Famer in their Prime.

From 2018 to 2022, ive seen at least 5 rankings with Simmons in the top 25 and I just started looking

You're focusing on the wrong thing.

Giannis will cost us the Pels pick.

Is it worth giving up a shot at a future star for an actual in prime star?

GA is 31 tho, he's starting his decline. Guy is still obviously good, but you still need to put pieces around him. He barely moves the needle for the Bucks the past few seasons.

Giannis is still in his prime, but at the tail end of it. He is the least skilled superstar ever. Just uses brute strength and a very heliocentric style. His dependance on strength and atheleticism with little bball skills will drag him down quickly and soon.

He has been frequently injured already the last couple of years and that will only increase. It's been a long time since he carried the Bucks to heights

Don't make the move for GA. Let this very talented team grow and enter it's long contention window stacked with young talent. Team isn't far from contention status in the East now. Trae coming back could bring them closer.
