I do give credit to Spoelstra for being so willing to update the team's offensive approach based on the NBA landscape and the team roster.

Miami might be the dark horse in the East.

I like them as a serious contender over Cleveland and the Knicks. Evan Mobley is key for Cleveland and I don't like the Knicks roster at all. I mentioned this throughout the offseson on the General Board.

Jaime Jaquez Jr's role on offense will be reduced now that Herro has returned Jaquez Jr has been a weak link for them.

Yeah. I had a hard time projecting Miami coming into the season.
They were a trainwreck in the playoffs last year.
But Bam, Norm Powell and Spoelstra should be enough to be competitive in a weakened East.
Needless to say, the Heat have exceeded all my expectations thus far.

Norman Powell is having a career year and Simone Fontecchio off their bench has been fantastic. 87 3-pointers combined.

Once Charlotte trades Melo and make other improvements they should be good.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
