bolf move with MEM?

Post#1 » by FCNATL85 » Sat Jan 26, 2008 4:08 pm

Miller + top 8 protected 1st for Shelen, Chill and Salim + 2nd

add a big shooter option at the 2, not having to worry about resigning Chill

MEM gets young PF( most needed), SF, SG

ATL trade chill for miller as shelden and salim do not see any playing time now.

It would be nice if Lopez is still available at 9-10

Yes I would do that deal. But Memphis won't do that. Shelden/Salim/2nd has virtually zero value to them.

Memphis won't do that deal. I think they are certain chill<miller, and Shelden+salim<their first.

You might get a bite without the picks in it, but not until they make a decision of dealing Pau. Moving Miller without moving Gasol doesn't really give them cap room because Chill + Shelden would fill as much salary.

I'd take Miller over J. Chill anytime. Since Shelden and Salim are useless, I'd jump on that trade. But I agree with you guys, I don't see a reason why the Grizzlies would do that.

take a look at their front court and you will understand hy they could take a gamble on Shelden, especially with Pau out often and Darko not playing a starter level...

Shelden, Chill, Salim for Miller and MEM 2nd

MEM lose a shooter and a 2nd and get 2 players to fill in for him : Chill and Salim + Shelden inside.
ATL give two young talents for Miller. Salim = 2nd

I'd do the revised trade in a heartbeat. Not sure I buy your Memphis motivation logic, but I suspend my disbelief for now.

Shelden is not a "gamble." Everyone knows he's not a contributor and never will be. Patrick O Bryant is a gamble, not Shelden.

There might be a chance Memphis accepts the deal. If they feel Shelden can produce if given the minutes (like I believe) then they might pull the trigger. But then I doubt they do it because they would have to resign Chill.
