Chil -Zaza - TLue- Salim for Theo and Mc Cants.

Theo is back in Feb and Mc Cants offers another scoring option in the back court to support JJ.
We would need to sign a FA SF(Dijon Thompson?) and a back-up PG.

AJ- Law- FA
JJ-Mc Cants-Mario
Marvin- JJ- FA
Smith - Solomon- Shelden
Horford - Theo- LoW

Shelden to be traded for a SF and a PG. Any ideas?

MIN gets Zaza (2 y) and could decide to resign Chill. Lue and Salim would probably come off the books at year ends as will Theo for the Hawks, allowing them to resign Smoothe and preparing for Marv.

Childress is way too similar to Brewer. They wouldn't do it.

I dont think we can count on Solomon and Ratliff as our front-court depth. Ratliff is oft-injured and Solo just isnt ready to be a guy who can play 15-20 minutes every night.

I'd send J. Smith, Zaza, plus whoever except JJ,Marvin, and Horford for Jefferson. The guy is a beast. He'll be an All-Star very soon. I doubt that Minny would even take BK's call though.

My thought is that Minnesota has no interest in that deal. They are giving up the remaining time on McCants rookie deal for a year of Zaza and the right to resign Childress. That's no bargain.

Minnesota is rebuilding, so the pieces they would most be willing to move are one of their 4 bad contracts (Walker, Jaric, Madsen or Buckner). You take on a bad contract and you get something nice to go with it. I've no interest any of them even as a means to get a scorer like McCants.

If Minnesota likes Zaza and think that a change of scenery will do him good you might be able to dump his salary along with Salim for Doleac and Gerald Green. That would be a move to help this season, just a move to free up cap room next year. I wouldn't do it, but some might.
