He's scored 20 points two times.
His 30 game double digit streak ended this month. He's also made under 10 points three times this month so far. His free throws have bailed out him a couple times this month.
Marvin's just having a bad month with his touch and during two games he didn't see the free throw line. I view Marvin as one of our only other true shooters on the team and we need him to get his mojo back. I hope he gets back on track after the All-Star break. It's time to get back to the 45.8 field goal percentage!

kb, you can admit that Woody is part of the problem and still know that the roster has flaws. Its not one of the other. As far as Lue goes, I don't know why you'd bring that up because you are one of the most vocal about us needing a real pg.

COB- I was just joking. I think that Marvin had a great start to the season and people just assumed that not only would he keep it up but would keep getting better. So now that he has regressed back to the mean a bit people are going to find reasons for that. And on this board Woodsonjsut gets made the scapegoat for all problems that exist.
I think the whole Marvin thing is rather fascinating. People here badly want to believe in the kid and the glimpses are so tantalizing. But with Childress on the team he is also the most expendable trading piece that the hawks have to acquire a legit PG. I said before the season that I would do Marvin for Calderon on the theory that the dropoff from Marvin to Childress was miniscule compared to the dropoff from Calderon to the current hawks PG's. Obviously now thats not an option but the point still remains to me.

I was all about Jose too. BK, being who he is and in the position he is, can't trade Marv without admitting that drafting him was a mistake. Calderon is amazing but he is a point guard and inferior to Paul. I'd trade Marv pretty quickly if it involved a series of deals leading to a more complete roster, I don't see "star" in him like I do in Smith.

I'm more disappointed with his defense. When teams switch J. Smith and him, we shouldn't have a mismatch problem due to Marvin's body type. But he's been a disaster defending PFs. I love the kid, but he's got to play better defense and rebound more as well. I couldn't believe that rebound Lebron got from him when the game was close. Those little things kill the team.
GO HAWKS.

So his wrist wrapped up with tape and saying he fell on his wrist doesn't count as a reason why his jumpshot is off? Really? There is no reason to believe that he can't keep up his earlier pace from this season.
And I agree. marvin is the guy to trade. He will cost more to resign than Chill, and if you replace him with a consistant shooter, you won't really lose much from him seeing as he doesn't really help on the boards, or consistantly on defense. Chill can get out and run just as well as he can, finishes better around the basket, and plays better defense on SF's.
I would be open to trading him for a big and shifting the lineup over or a shooter that has proven to be able to come off the bench and score(like Mike Miller)
