To say this is a good deal for the Hawks would be an understatement. This is a great deal, an amazing deal, a deal which can looked upon as one of Billy Knight

Not sure I agree with the PG rankings part. Bibby from a few years back would be that high. Let's be honest, he wasn't playing that level of late for Sacramento. It's not out of the question to expect a rebirth in Atlanta, but let's see it on the court before we brag about how he's the third best PG in the East. Don't get me wrong I think we got a massive upgrade. We don't need to justify it by denigrating comments about other teams PGs. Once he gets acclimated to the lineup then feel free to make all the list you want.

I agree with Evildallas. Bibby is an upgrade, but some injuries and bad shooting have taken over. I like the prospect of him and JJ on fire, but I also wonder how many nights they'll both be off. Still I'm really excited to see him in a Hawks uniform. And this should mean Law gets all the backup point minutes which is nice.

I know some people are maybe a bit too high on Jose right now, but it's a little ridiculous not to mention him after of guys like Nelson, etc. with how he's played (for the entire year, not just recently). Billups is probably the best PG in the East right now, but after that, it's been Calderon, IMO.

Bibby will not only ensure a playoff birth but also a 1st round win.

Just like he did the last three or so years right? Oh wait...the Spurs got in the way....

Regardless, the Hawks are in the East so anything's possible. Congratulations on your acquisition.

Bibby, when playing up to what he's capable of, will give us a major leg up. I totally agree that we should wait and see how he works out with the team. But, I really think that we will make a big difference for the rest of the team even when he's not scoring. Just look out though should he get on a role. If we can get on a role before the season ends, we could seriously pull a GSW and go deep in the playoffs. To me, anything is possible in the East. Staying healthy will be imperative. But, I can see us knocking off one of the better teams (like DET) because we will be able to match their PG play and run up the tempo. I'm excited to see how this turns out!

Considering the Spurs are in the West I don't think that's really relevant. Not that I expect to get out of the first round unless we play Orlando.
