If he can come here for expirings, trade for him right away. He can shoot better than 90% of our team. I can't believe a team that has Salim as a great shooter wouldn't consider this trade.
GO HAWKS.

Matt can shoot free throws at very high percentages as well (lead the league in FT% for stretches las season).

Any chance we could get Chil in return? (I undesrstand it won't be 1 for 1 probably)

Have you guys learned nothing yet??? :banghead: The sheer fact that this was mentioned in a paper.. and now on the internet, AND no matter how much sense it makes for the TEAM.... Bk WILL NOT MAKE THIS MOVE if for nothing more than the fact that we are discussing it.
We go way back like Mookie and them!!! Where were ya'll when all we had was Hendu? Watch the flock of fans start coming out of the wood work now!!!

I don't know about that. We were talking about the Shelden promise even before the NBA combine and BK still drafted him.

Tontoz, BK is stubborn

I didn't realize Carroll has such a long deal. Well, wouldn't you think you would keep Childress if he would sign for that amount?
He would definitely come here as a long-term solution.

To me, I don't let Charlotte off the hook for that deal. I say let him stay there as I don't think he will be our best option.
Not too many teams deal within their conference anyway.

And, BK won't do this deal because we have talked about it whether it makes sense or not.

I stated that BK won't find a way to get a deal done, and this will be our team heading into the offseason.

It is the same, but seen from the opposite view. THe simple way to see it is "BK won't do anything the other want".

We are talking about this trade = he won't do this trade.
We were saying "no Shelden here" = he did not choose "no Shelden here" but choose "Shelden here" ;)

The more i think about it the less i am worried about getting a shooter because there are so many guys that can play the backup 2/3 in that price range or less who can shoot 3s. A few of the guys who will ufa's this summer;

Gerald Green
Giricek
Bogans
Maurice Evans
Roger Mason

Remember Jeremy Richardson, the skinny dude we had for a little while last season that we got from the D-League? The Spurs signed him and actually started him at least one game i believe.

We just have to let Childress go so we will have the money for a shooter, center, pg, and of course money to resign Smith.

Look how excited everyone is getting from a little blurb in the Charlotte paper. Pro or con, making deals is fun!

Can we all agree to never mention this again? That week leading up to the draft was the worst week of my life.

I agree, and like others have said, if it is reported, no chance it happens

I wish we jumped on Nazr when he was available. We'd be in good position right now if we had him backing up Horford or even spending time on the floor alongside Horford. Actually I'm not sure what his contract situation is so maybe not. I just wish we had someone like him coming off the bench.

Nazr is paid well. Overpaid actually. I think it is safe to assume that any thought of acquiring Matt Carroll and that long contract is dead.

Bobcats people are saying that a Charlotte reporter overheard someone on your coaching staff talking to Matt after the game about how he would fit in with your team and that they could use a shooter. No offers, just a comment. Not sure what coach it was. I would love to somehow get Chill on the Cats, and would glagly offer up Carroll and something else
