We have 2 open roster spots and our bench isn't exactly stepping up. We're vulnerable to injuries as well. As I stumble upon buyout rumors I shall open them up for the masses (if we still have anyone visiting the forum) to chime in like Roman emperors with a thumbs up or thumbs down.
Rumor in Detroit is that Flip is about to be waived to make room for a veteran big to be brought in for a playoff run. Now while we would probably rather have the veteran big that's another issue. What do you think about Ronald Flip Murray?
Quick Scouting Report - Never met a shot he didn't like. Can create his own shot. 6-3 combo guard. Rarely used this year by Detroit, 7.5 ppg 3.4 apg and 13.64 PER in 18 minutes per game. Career averages 9.2 ppg, 2.3 apg in 22 mpg as a NBA nomad (4 teams in 6 years). Cons: Weak 3 pt shooter, not known for defensive intensity.
Possible veteran buyout candidate - Flip Murray

It depends on how confident we are that Law and Bibby are going to be able to stay fairly healthy over the course of the season.
Hopefully Bibby cleans up our shot creator problem, I think that if we don't have confidence in Solo and we don't think Zaza can regain form than we have to get a backup big man so we don't get destroyed every time Smith or Horford go out.

Murray impressed me in both Cleveland and Seattle as a starter when Hughes and Allen went out. Marvin seems to have hit the "wall" lately so it might not be a bad idea to throw out a lineup of Bibby/Flip/Joe because all 3 can create their own offense off the dribble and moving Marvin to the bench(temporarily this year) would increase our bench scoring.
