Name one Kings fan(maybe beside smills) or any fans who think Bibby is an above average defender.

Umm, Ballings? Regardless, like I said, I probably have a different view of defense than most Kings fans...I suppose...

It's cool. We don't expect defense from our PGs. Any defense we get is a plus.

Very true.

On the other hand I hate seeing the gate open at the 1 & 2. The "gate" is used to teach young players growing up how to close the inside gap between the 1 & 2. Sorry about the ramble.

I can't stand to see the 1/2 provide the front court with more pressure. The frontcourt normally gets the blame, but Al and Josh can handle it. I feel Mike will bring what we are use to on defense and maybe more. It's not like Lue or Johnson brought much, and Joe needs to improve his defense also.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the City of Atlanta reacts to this trade. They need to show good faith towards the ASG now and buy some tickets. I know the current road trip will depend on how many fans actually come out. It's going to be difficult to come out of this road trip at .500 or over.

I hope it doesn't come down to the for the Atlanta fans. I just feel the ASG has shown that their serious about being a contender and now it's the fans turn to show some good faith towards the organization.

They may have to do a little marketing to get the news out. It kind of got lost in the All-Star Weekend and the Sports media's fascination with the Kidd deal. I know those of us who are already fans were all over it, but to boost sales you got hit some more casual fans.

Anyone know what one of those building side projections like they had during the NHL All-Star Weekend costs?

They could also shoot a quick commercial talking about the upgrades to the Highlight Factory. Two techs could be talking in a cafeteria interspersed with game highlights to accentuate points.
Tech A "Did you hear about the upgrades to the Highlight Factory?"
Tech B "Upgrades?"
Tech A "Yes. Big upgrade."
Tech B "What's it mean?"
Tech A "Lots more highlights. Laser passes. Big shots. Fast breaks."
Tech B "Dunks?"
Tech A "Oh yeah. There will be dunks."
Voiceover at end could get specifics on upcoming games, etc.

Even if we get roughed up on this insanely difficult road trip, we should not panic. After the San Antonio game, we only have 3 more road games this year against teams with winning records. The other 10 are against teams below .500 just like us. 6 of our home games are against teams with winning records while 8 are below .500 (9 if you count the 51 seconds against Miami). We've got a good chance to right the ship even if we struggle on this road trip.

But you KNOW people will panic.

It's Atlanta.

I just hope we could win at least 2 of these next 5 games.

I fully believe this team can make the playoffs with the current squad. We need to have some special players join that are truly thirsty to make a name for themselves.

The City still doesn't expect to win! So, it's not like this one move will changes the views of this team, so there going to need to win games, and make a strong push during the playoffs. Mike Bibby should excite the knowledgeable fans and hopefully the word will spread.

I actually believe the city won't climb aboard the bandwagon until we're in the playoffs. We'll have to sustain that more than one year to strengthen the fan base substantially.

Which is understandable. I'm just curious to what the attendance is going to be at the next couple home games.

That shot of Woody just sitting there was priceless.

This has got to be some team record low. What a pathetic performance by the Hawks.

Joe Johnson is getting outclassed by Kobe, who's playing with 9 fingers. It's not even close.

Kobe got outclassed by Joe last time and Joe was playing (and is still playing) on a bum leg. Kobe's arguably the best player in the game, you can't look at this game and have that stand out.

Josh Smith is pretty much worthless if he is upset. At some point in his career that has to change.

Just wanted to show you guys what you're getting.

As a Kings fan, that video made me really miss the guy. Just know that if you guys do make the playoffs, you've always got a chance to make some noise with Mike Bibby on your team.

I thought Bibby played a good 1st quarter...he made some nice passes(off the pick and roll) and had a jumpshot get called off for an illegal screen by Horford. What I liked most is that he was actually telling players where they needed to be and giving directions. I think Law is going to learn alot from Bibby in terms of leadership/swagger just like Stuckey has learned from Billups. I can tell just by watching the 1st 7 minutes of the 1st quarter and the entire 2nd half that both Bibby/Law have far more talent than AJ.

^^ Hoops you bring up a great point there. Bibby will help this team, but he will also really help IV.

By the way, didn't mean to get too heated last night. I apologize if you feel I got a little to riled up. To me it was just a good, passionate discussion and I definetely meant nothing more than that. But after going back and reading it I can see how it may have been taken the wrong way.

The Hawks starting to market more, not only Mike, but also the playoffs. I just hope they do more to market the team and the 3 known faces.
