Cassell not only would he be on a team that would be in a playoff run he would be an important part of it.

Face it, given veteran buyout and signing rules we aren't the belle of the ball. BK needs to talk to anyone who can help, but as fans we should expect some (a lot of) rejection.

But if we sign Cassell IV will get scared about another PG and start playing poorly!

But seriously, Evil is right, Cassell wants to win a title. C's are going to make a serious run at him for sure.

Magloire would be of more use, and get more playing time, that Cassell. Cassell would be more likely to go to someone else (Boston, Cleveland), where he (a) has a better chance to win, and (b) has a better chance to compete for the starting position. He wouldn't start, not over Bibby, and might not even be able to pass Law (though anything's possible with Woodson).

Magloire, on the other hand, would easily be #2 C for us, even if Zaza were to magically recover to last year's form. We need another baseline guy more than another guard at the moment, and Magloire would fit. (Not to mention I seem to recall a huge hue and cry a couple summers ago to try and get him from the Blazers.)

the value of a PG that can handle and shoot seems to have gone down on this board and we have only had bibby for 3 games... I dont care about Boston or anyone else. When I want a player I let be known he is wanted here and show him why yes he might prefer Bos. but you don't wait for him to call. you gotta call and go after him. Be aggressive show him your passion and sell him on Atlanta. Only 2 things he can say yes and no. Only open mouths get feed.

Not a big fan of Magloire. Would rather make a run at Diop in the off season.

Personally I don't want any of the guys who got waived very much. I would like us to bring in a big and a 3rd guard on a 10 day from the d-leauge, reup them if they show potential. If they don't then try another one.
Why? It's better for the chemistry. D-league guys are hungry. Magloire isn't known as a great character, and might not even displace Zaza. Look who he was stuck behind in NJ. Cassell? He's injured too much, and might get the idea he should start over Bibby. Murray? Is he really better than Salim?

Also, its better for next year. If we discover another guy who we like (like J-rich), then we can re-sign him over the summer for cheap, and cover one of our backup spots well.

The only waiver who I like right now is Barry.
