Always hard not to think "What if" when playing Paul and the Hornets. Looking at their roster outside of CP3 we really have the talent edge, though their depth is better...yet they are close to the top of the WC. Shows you how great this kid is. Even all the acclaim he gets is less than he deserves.
What if indeed.

Take my words, you're going to say the same thing about him 5-10 years from now, that's called lack of fundamentals. On the top of that, the mental part of his game is as weak and poor as his jump shot. Since we traded for Bibby, his game has disappeared. I think he knows the Hawks will throw tons of money at him, which in my opinion will be a huge mistake.
GO HAWKS.

your team has some great talent...why aren't they winning? I'm a kings fan, so i fully support Bibby. I've noticed that you guys aren't really with your coach, and I don't blame you. After reading some of the things he's done, I think we know why the hawks aren't soaring. With Bibby, you guys should be in atleast 7th right now.

Dennis Scott was talking on the radio about how he tells the players all the time that once they step on the court it's up to them. They also played some replays and you could hear the announcers just shocked that the Atlanta players didn't feel the need to dive for loose balls. I suppose we are lacking some pride at this point.

Hey Master
You sure Woody has only cost us 2 games this year?
And if we make a change right now, will there be anyone who says we miss Woody's knowledge?
I see his coaching career similar to his playing career: never really had a taste of success. His claim to fame is being under Brown in Detroit and playing for Bobby Knight, but was his Indiana teams ever championship contenders?

'79 NIT (when NCAA was only 40 teams) champions over Purdue
'78, '80: NCAA Sweet 16 (lost to Villanova, Purdue, respectively)
Big Ten champs of '80
His college career was bookended by Indiana NCAA championships ('76 & '81).
Haven't found much more online info. This is also under the assumption that he played 4 years at Indiana (couldn't find anything to the contrary).

Woody never had a taste of success playing? WOW. He is one of the great players to play at IU. He was a two-time All American. He also had a nice NBA career although he was never a great player. These two posts about him not being successful at IU are completely false, he is one of the more decorated players to play for IU.

Never said he wasn't successful, only what I'd found on the net (which is not much). Even the IU website is rather lacking on such stuff; even Texas A&M had better bios on its alumni bball players, and A&M ranks basketball below pigfarming.

Just google him, it's all there. He had a productive NBA careeer too. I think that all that success might actually be his downfall, he appears to be too subborn with his coaching and unwilling to change. He also might have too much of a Knight influence, that style rarely works with grown men in the NBA.

I did Google him. Most of the stuff mentioned only his NBA and coaching career. Or how much he's hated and despised by Hawks fans and needs to be fired. (Though I'll admit to not having gone to the NBA webpage which did have all the details, since I didn't expect it to go on in more detail than the IU page.)

The fifth-leading scorer in IU history with 2,061 points, Woodson averaged 19.8 points and 5.6 rebounds in 104 games with the Hoosiers. He graduated with a degree in physical education.
