Will the Hawks ever turn it around?

Post#1 » by Skar » Thu Mar 6, 2008 4:34 am

The Hawks was starting off hot and now...well lets just say they're colder then ice water right now. Even with Mike Bibby, it seems this team just can't win and when we do win its against other bad teams this season. We still do have more games to play and only hope but I really doubt we will make the playoffs once again. I try to stay positive for this team but this team is way beyond repair right now, even with a bus load of talent we have now. The owners don't want Woodson gone (I just think they only care about the money anyways right instead of a winning team right?) Lets just hope this young team will get back into that hot mode because right now this team is embarrassing.

We've got some pieces. I don't expect us to turn it around this year, which is probably good because that will free us of the Knight/Woodson albatross around our neck. We have two young guys to build around in Smith and Horford. Once we bring in a competent front office, they can start making some personnel moves to build around those two and we might have something in a few years.

The last two games were horrendous

The last 2 games have been horrific. 251 points in 2 games and we aren't in either game in the 2nd half. Where is that youth and energy that we have come to expect? Only Bibby should be struggling with his injury.

Fact is, we aren't stopping anyone lately. And Woody blames Acie's injury on the inabliity to rest Bibby. Come on Mike, you just don't know how to use your roster, admit it! What excuse is next, the back-to-back games that we have? If Bibby isn't healthy, don't leave him out there....he is a liabililty against Paul and Davis.

I am waiting for the 2 games vs. Miami, where coach will say how tough it was to get 2 wins in the same night. Too tough mentally to be focused on both games. Okay.........?

Use Salim, use JJ, use Chills to get Bibby rests........too many excuses for me.
Use the bench more and get all the guys a rest and be stronger in the 2nd half of games.

Makin me hopeful. Although I wouldn't complain if we made the playoffs.

Even when we were hot, this team was still barely .500 and played weak teams. This team simply is not good.

Looks like it. Could the city of Atlanta be cursed with sport teams?
