Well that's true also. Coach Woodson can play Jeremy at the 3 some, however he doesn't seem to understand that, as I'm sure J would just love to step foot on the court.

Yeah, he just hit his first (and only) shot of the night... Woodson needs to play him more, especially when we are losing by 15+ late in the game. It's pointless to play our starters 40+ minutes a night.

When you have a bench of Childress, Zaza and Salim... yeah, I think see the reason why. Zaza is a lost cost now... just inactivate him or something. Give his minutes to Solo and Mario. Childress is also playing too much imo... give some of his minutes to J-Rich.
And I thought Acie was set to play? How come Horford only play 18 minutes? Woodson is just bad.

Zaza sucks, I didnt get to watch the first half, but in the second we didnt look all that bad. They just hit all their shots. We made a couple mistakes but none I can obiviously glare on Woodson. Bibby played well in the second half, by the stats Joe played well in the first half. Then again he always does then goes into ghost mode in the second.
Did i mention Zaza sucks? anybody else missing Shell-head?

Im really liking those guys and along with salim, chillz, law thats a good guard,s foward combition coming off the bench. We are deeper at the guard position then woodson realizes. Its down low were we need the help. Its to the point were Al cant even get a rest anymore.

If I hadn't watched this game I would have thought we lost this game because of Zaza and Woody. The reality is not one guy on the roster came to play on the defensive end. I can live with the fact that we are not a good basketball team and losing to a better team, but showing such little effort on the defensive end is unacceptable. Could someone tell this team we're in a playoff race?
Offensively we did fine, everyone looked pretty good on offense. JJ played like a star tonight, Smoove really picked it up in the 2nd half, and Marvin/Bibby shot the ball fairly well.

Mario and J-Rich are two guys that can spark the offense.
More importantly, Mario can spark the defense as that is his specialty. Why neither of them get some PT is beyond me. I'm sick of Woodson sticking to the same old game plan every time. If things aren't working, why not mix up your subbing patterns?

^^^Woodson is desperate and not thinking through all the options. The only coaching I saw him do tonight was to limit Al's minutes. It was a two-fold plan of protecting Al's ego and trying to use Zaza to annoy Dwight Howard. It backfired as Zaza while annoying didn't get Howard into foul trouble as he has done a couple times in the past and couldn't even make a layup to save his life.
BTW, using Joe 46 minutes in a game we weren't really in will probably haunt us down the road. Maybe it wasn't a hard 46 though as neither team played much D tonight.

Apparently not.
For various reasons the will of this team has just disappeared. Part of it has to do with the lack of depth after the trade which was followed by a slew of injuries.
The team has just been playing shell-shocked since the turn of the new year. After Lebron had the huge 4th quarter on us, we haven't had a good come from behind wins. After that huge comeback by Portland, we haven't played with any effort.
The guys are tired of losing so they aren't trying, we see it every year.

I think people aren't noticing one thing that is still apparent with this game.
Joe has got to play basketball the whole game and stop his one on one show that he randomly decides to get into.
I know alot of the plays are called and you can tell by the other players on the court, but far to often, he just completely stops teh offense so he can dribble and dribble and dribble.
My coach used to tell me there was no reason for a guy to dribble the ball more than 5 times without going anywhere. Joe does it all the time and while we were making a push in the 3rd quarter, each time it was killed by JJ dribbling around and missing a shot and another 3 pointer.
Right now the major problem with this team is their inability to just stay locked to a guy. They seem to be in scramble mode on defense right now, and it is resulting in alot of open three point shots and we just so happen to be playing some of the best three point shooting teams in the NBA. And it doesn't get any better with Houston coming into town.
Right now, our defensive stragedy seems to be "give up the three as long as they don't get the two" which is just dumb against teams that can hit the three conistantly.
A couple of tough games here.
