It really could be coaching

Post#1 » by tbhawksfan » Wed Mar 12, 2008 11:25 am

When you look at what we have and try to think about what you should be able to do with this bunch, it gets difficult to accept.

I don't think that Woodson is contributing a dam thing. And it seems that the players are completely shutting him out. I've thought that for a long time. I remember looking in the huddle last year and not one player was looking at Woody.

There have been numerous occaisions of player/coach open revolt starting with Delk who went on to better things in Detroit.

I also think that the players are just happy to make their $M's and not rock the boat. I was very surprised (but not fooled) by Chil endorsement of Woody a couple of months ago.

To think what a good coach could do with these guys. It is disgusting to see how limited they are playing. Bad coaching is an infection that slowly eats away at everything. It has permeated the Hawks.

At least Woodson's contract his up in three months. What a mess to clean up.

Thank goodness that we have such good owner-ship to do the cleaning. :noway:

Woody is an idiot.

Last game his decision to leave Solomon on Howard in the second quarter while Horford was sitting on the bench with only 2 fouls was baffling. The Magic went on a huge run.

Salim doesn't get hot that often but he did last game. he was actually playing well and hit back to back 3s bringing the Hawks withing 5 pts. Then of course Woody pulls him.

I'm not surprised by public endorsement of Woodson by Childress. He's the only pro-coach Childress has ever known. I am really regretting the decision to let Woodson coach this season. Ownership now has to make long term judgments on players without seeing them in a different light and I feel development of young players has meandered for another year.

I'm ready for an entire new coaching staff from a completely different coaching tree.
