Lack of something more intelligent or constructive to do.

Anyone who cares how many pairs of shoes he has really needs to re-assess their vision of reality; AJC :noway:

If I had that much money I would buy land, cars, or stuff like that. I have no need for that many shoes. I have tennis shoes, basketball shoes (need different ones for an ankles), dress shoes (x2), and like 3 pairs of sandals/flip flops.

I doubt he actually paid for any of those shoes. If he is a sponsor he could probably just get any pair he wants for free.

you're acting like those things cost much. if anythings he's spent $3,000 on shoes, he gets prob. 5x that in a game check. these guys have land, money, stocks, and bonds and also have a portion of their checks sent into a retirement account mandatory. this generation of players are going to be fine even with their obssesions.

I thought it was pretty gay when I looked at the story.

But hey, it's a free country.

when you have the luxury, you may want something useless...

Now for all of us, I think that lux is not yet here.

Damn I didn't know everyone here was 40+

I'd do the same if I were in his position, I "collected" shoes for almost 15 years
