The player had to be waived by March 1st to be on a playoff roster right? So anyone waived before that can play in the playoffs? Just looking for a clarification on that.

Anyone not on a roster as of March 1st is eligible for the playoffs, which is one of the reasons Dale Davis still is getting whispers around the league.

Meh, we always beat Orlando at Phillips.

Orlando hasn't been this good on the road in years past though. They were basically as bad as the Hawks last season with the exception of the 1st 2 months of 06. They were on a winning streak going into the game too.

It was a good game outside of the stupid turnovers and the big lead we blew in the 2nd quarter. Joe took over in the 4th. Zaza did a great job of getting under Dwight's skin but he needs to do the simple things(like catch passes and hit free throws). Bibby had a great 4th quarter after missing a ton of open looks in the 1st 3 quarters. Horford had two huge plays...the and 1 layup after the timeout and the offensive rebound to basically clinch the game. I thought the game was over after Howard's dunk on Smith near the end of the 3rd. This has to be one of the only wins all year where we actually trailed going into the 4th.

The Hawks will be favored in atleast 4 of the next 5 so they have to take care of business. I would actually like to see them win all 5 to be honest but I won't get my hopes up.

nothing really special happen in this game. as like always, the Hawks live and die on Joe's jump shot.

Bibby made some horrible decisions and passes in the first three quarters, but he did step in the fourth and hit some big shots.

That wasn't even close to being anything resembling playoff intensity for the Magic.

Like you would know. Definitely not our best win though. Pretty mediocre game like someone else mentioned.

I would know, because I am a Magic fan and I've seen every game this season.

We played lazy and disinterested.

And yet no credit to the Hawks defense?

You guys played well. I'm saying we just came out lazy and disinterested. No intensity at all, and nowhere near playoff intensity.

It was indeed sloppy, but the intensity level in that game was extremely high, especially in the fourth quarter. We've lost a ton of games like this because we just couldn't make the plays down the stretch, it was nice to see us getting the big buckets and defensive stops for a change.

Smith can be so frustrating to watch. In the first half he was owning the Magic going inside. So what does he do in the second half? Jack up jumpers.

Bibby makes passes every game that are like WTF. I am not impressed with his passing at all. His shooting is obviously very sporatic. He was 7-21 last night.

I would be worried about Howard if that's how he plays in his most important game of the season.

Yea, probably the least important game of the season.

Our offense has been so much better since Bibby arrived. He has a lot to work on but he has had a major impact on this team, we can actually score consistently now.

Bibby is a 3 pt threat who can shoot quickly so defenses have to honor him. That open things up for everyone else.

But too many of his passes are dumb.

Hey I'm right there with you, I'm hoping that he can correct some of the errors he's making after a training camp. But we are suddenly scoring 100 PPG since the AS break, I'm interested to see if we can continue that up down the stretch.
